Bingo!

Jackie did not mince words either.

the First Lady told dinner guests that the queen was “a middle-aged woman so incurious, unintelligent and unremarkable that Britain’s new reduced place in the world was not a surprise but an inevitability

And yet...the Queen is beloved and still ruling the roost while the curious, intelligent and remarkable Jackie is pushing up daisies while the distant fragments of her family are fading into obscurity.

Wow. Jackie’s cancer was a character flaw, huh? Wow.

Neither was the Queen's age.

I can't think of anything more unremarkable than turning a blind eye to your husband's many infidelities for the perks of money and power. I mean really, Jackie to lecture on being remarkable?

You know Phillip has been stepping out on the Queen for decades right? He also only married her (and the British high society were merciless about this) for the 'perks of money and power'.

I don't get it. Harry and Meghan seem lovely and they're helping other people. They want out of the British Royal Family obligations, which I get. What's the issue?

That’s actually one thing they have in common

Monarchs with rank equal to that of the Queen are incredibly rare and probably spoken for since birth. She isn't exactly choosing from a wide pool here.

If you think turning a blind eye to infidelity is unremarkable, then by that standard Jackie is common as pig tracks.

None of us know what they are really like.

The issue, in a nutshell, is that they wanted to leave the Royal Family but keep the money-making parts of it. Because without their Royal Family affiliation, they would be of interest to no one.

So now the MM haters are talking incredibly mean sh** about a woman long dead of cancer. But yeah you and QEII are the classy ones!

They didn’t need the titles to make money. Harry wanted to keep a connection to his birthright, the one he’s been raised to revere. Hardly shocking.

Jackie did it for money.

The Queen did it because she thought it was best for her duty.

Er...do you think Harry would be interesting to anyone at all if he wasn't related to the royals? Would Meghan?

Nope.

You know so much about the inner workings of people you’ve never met! That’s amazing, tell me, can you read my personal goals and fears and desires through the screen as well?

Since when does death excuses anyone from anything? I mean when Trump dies, are you going to be all reverential and say yes, don't speak ill of the dead?

As a woman in my 30s who reminders when Diana died and has casually thought Harry was always the hot one and who has watched third rate bachelor contestants turn their 15 minutes into robust careers yes I do think a former prince of England would have been able to support himself just fine. It’s like, literally ludicrous that you think he wouldn’t be able to.

You’re the one talking about the importance of class!

Oh the Royals are already backpedaling and apologizing. Not to Harry of course - to the powerful Americans they insulted.

Haha, the BRF is such a ridiculous institution.

Totally. Watching The Crown really brought this home.
