The White House has not located a record in its switchboard logs of a call between Trump and Sondland on Sept. 9, according to an administration official. But there is evidence of another call between Trump & Sondland a few days earlier — in which Trump made clear he wanted Zelensky to personally announce investigations.

I think that first sentence should say:

The White House has no record of a call.

Saying it has not located a record of the call makes it sound like someone lost the information.

After railing for weeks about the “unfair” impeachment process, Trump won’t even participate in hearings when offered. Not recognizing the constitutional authority of Congress is dictator behavior. He and the GOP are destroying our system from within.

Today, I was thinking how the adult kids went to fancy schools yet appear dumb as door nails. So any long-term thinking abilities would be a shocker.

But isn't he always making calls on that unsecured phone? The same one he uses to call his buddies after he eats his cheeseburger in bed? With this guy, how could there ever be a conclusive record of any of his phone calls?

I did not have a chance to watch Hill and Holm testifying until today. I know the GOP members are singing "lalalalala" inside their heads so they won't have to actually hear anything, but I like how good she is at slapping Nunes down. Still have a couple of hours to watch, but I had to stop to watch Madame Secretary!

So Trump won’t testify in the impeachment hearing?

He has no possible defense. If he had anything to excuse his actions he would have tweeted it. He teeets everything else!

So this is essentially an admission that what the witnesses are saying is true. He can’t rebut it and can’t let those closest to him rebut it either.

That's a great point. Isn't that why Lily Tomlin made Bartlett route all his calls through her? To ensure there was an accurate log?

First thing a dictator does when in power, install your own minions everywhere, preferably family. Done. Install corrupt people that you can boss around and sycophants, done. Deny law has any leverage over your or your actions, done.
