Official Brett Kavanaugh Thread, Part 3

I really think you expected her to crack under questioning and admit Soris was paying her to lie. You weren’t expecting this all to be.....possibly true.

Whats a better approach: be flanked by liberal lawyers or whatever, or deliver largely unvetted testimony seen by only one other. Re watch the hearings and tell me.

Guy came off as unhinged. Clinton accusations. Asserting since he wasnt caught in 1998 when Livingston was outed by Hustler somehow proves his innocence. His responses to Klobuchar and Leahy. His lying to Whitehouse and Mitchell. Et al

Clarence Thomas, who he clearly wanted to channel, was so much more composed.

Nope. You are not going unchecked in your ridiculous comparison.
Clarence Thomas was not accused of the things Kavanaugh was. Judge Kavanaugh has been accused, among other things, of sexual assault, attempted rape, attempted murder (Yes - read Ford’s testimony) and gang rape. He was furious, and he should have been. When an innocent person is accused of such heinous acts, that person is going to become angry and righteously indignant. Especially when the media and other outside organizations are working hard to advance the fallacies.
And, your claims of lies, are in fact, lies.

My parents, both of whom grew up poor yet had successful careers, gifted me money for the downpayment on my house. It is completely legal and is not ripping off the taxpayers. (After all, they paid taxes on that money when they earned it.) It was their money to do with what they want. Why no hostility toward people using government support programs as ripping off the taxpayer?

That’s lovely that your parents were able to help.

Do we have any proof that Kavanaugh’s parents helped, or is this just the latest excuse du jour for his unforgivable disappearing debt?

It is so common in this area that few doubt that it is not true.

Rape and attempted rape is so common that few doubt he’s innocent. We’re still going to investigate. And someone should investigate his money troubles. The baseball ticket excuse doesn’t wash. And if he was goven a down payment for his house, there should be proof of that, too.

First of all..... just because it is common, does not mean he is guilty. This argument is so bogus it’s ridiculous. Seems as if all the #MeToo women are holding Kavanaugh responsible for what happened to them. They are blaming him - with absolutely NO PROOF.
And, the “money troubles,” as you call them, aren’t money troubles at all. Don’t you wonder why the Democrats on the committee are not harping on this issue? I don’t wonder at all. You know why? It was addressed in closed session, where it should have been. So, just let it go.

Oh, FFS. You are off the charts crazy. Get help.

Yes Kavanaugh’s lies are lies.

But it’s a neighborhood where other Supreme Court justices, Yalies, journalists and other power players live. He knows what he wants and is clawing to get it. That’s not really what Supreme Court justices do - there’s not supposed to be a career path to the highest court.

FYI - we have a similar HHI and we can’t afford our $650,000 house , never mind a 1.3 million dollar house. And we have no law school debts even.

Same. We have a similar income, a $650k house, no other debt and do alright, but could certainly not afford a country club (or two) and two private school tuitions.

I've read many, many times on this forum that there are a lot of people in DC who have help from wealthy parents for home purchases. Are the Kavanaughs somehow an exception?

Well - was that parental ‘help’ reported as income and taxes paid on it? Because that’s the law.

You know one of those six FBI investigations of Kavanaugh could answer your question. Perhaps submit a FOIA to see if Kavanaugh is a tax cheat as well as an alcoholic, serial rapist, boofer, wife and child abuser, misogynist, sexist, and renate alumnius.

The four witnesses were Mr. Judge; Leland Keyser, a high school friend of Dr. Blasey’s whom she said attended the party but was not told of the assault; P.J. Smyth, another party guest; and Ms. Ramirez, the Yale accuser. The White House has asked that the F.B.I. share its findings after investigators complete those interviews, and at that point, Mr. Trump and his advisers would decide whether to have the accusations investigated further, the people said.

So it will be up to the WH if anyone else, beyond those 4 people, is interviewed. This is NOT an "investigation," it is a sham. And if Jeff Flake thinks this will satisfy Americans, and that this won't rip our country apart, he would be wrong.

Trump has clarified. The FBI has free rein.

In case you haven't noticed, Trump isn't the most honest guy in the world. Right now, this is all the FBI is doing and they've received no different instructions.

New: A senior U.S. official and another source familiar with the matter tell NBC News that the FBI has received no new instructions from the White House about how to proceed with its weeklong investigation of sexual misconduct allegations against Judge Kavanaugh.

A “senior official” also told NBC last week that Rosenstein was on his way to the WH to be fired. So, there’s that.
Truth is..... nobody knows who the FBI is investigating because the FBI doesn’t disclose this information. They will do their job. They will go where the story takes them.
And, I hope when they investigate and find that Ramirez’s claim and Swetnik’s claim is FOS, they will prosecute.

Are you projecting your own homoerotic fantasies, PP? You seem to know a lot about life on the down low?

I hope that too. But I fear they will find that those claims are not FOS.

I have NO DOUBT they are both FOS. Give it time.
They have already referred one false allegation claim to law enforcement for prosecution.
