+1. This thread is clearly not aging well.

You think a barmy old man who can’t finish softball interviews by friendly outlets, who literally stood on stage and danced for forty minutes to random songs he likes, who can’t speak without slurring or mush mouthing the words (when he can find them), whose policies are terrible, who has no ground game, no enthusiasm - you think this is a healthy campaign.

I think Trump is running an incredibly disciplined and healthy campaign, yes, as the internal polls are clearly showing.

The McDonald's action yesterday was nothing short of masterful.

You aren’t seeing any internal polls.

The McD’s was pitiful and showed just what a husk DonOLD is.

It was brilliant. My college age kids were sharing memes of this all day. Made them dislike Trump a little less. So it’s a win for Trump

Brilliant? This is what you called brilliant? People, you should have higher expectations in life.

It was a brilliant campaign stunt. That is what we are talking about.

Why are you taking this so hard?

It’s a good question. Why is the left so up in arms about this whole McDonald’s thing? It’s so OOT.

1) Because it was a masterful troll.
2) Because Kamala's team of 25 YO campaign staffers could never come up with something like this.
3) Because it dominated the news/ social media cycle for 24 hours, on her birthday, no less.
4) Because it has legs - McDonald's is reporting record sales today, nationwide, FYI.
5) Because Kamala's campaign is a joyless sinking ship, the exact opposite of a Happy Meal.

I'll add one more point to this.

The McDs stunt was so effective, and is triggering Dems so badly, because it reminds the left of their seething contempt for the working class. People who work at McDonalds, people who eat at McDonalds are all far beneath them in intellect and status. They are supposed to fall in line and do what the Dems say, because they know what's best for them. Trump exploited that in spades.

Uh Clinton was the first person to embrace McDonalds. He was an addict. But he didn’t have to pull a phony stunt.

It’s just more bread and circuses for the masses.

I took away the complete opposite. The stunt appeared to be mocking McDonalds employees. And I’m sure the employees who lost a day of wages so he could play fast food worker weren’t thrilled.

This. It was incredibly condescending. There’s a lot on these boards about how working class people want to feel pride in their jobs. Trump’s little performance did not convey respect.

Clinton campaigned recently at a McDonalds. One person was excited. However, another person thought he was Joe Biden. Probably because Clinton got so confused looking at the CHicken Big Mac.

This, in a nutshell, is why the Dems are going to lose so badly. You just don't get it.

DP. Maybe you don't get it. Actual McDonald's employees were not impressed. Some called it "cosplaying" a McDonald's worker. He didn't follow food safety rules, so this was clearly only a photo op and not a real attempt to try and serve food. It was also so appropriate that he did this at a franchise that had failed a previous health inspection for not following food safety rules. It makes sense that the man who willfully breaks laws and believes that laws don't apply to him would stage a photo op by failing to follow laws and doing so at a restaurant that had failed a health safety inspection for failing to follow laws. Perfectly on-brand.

The reddit thread r/McDonaldsEmployees shows that they are unimpressed and feel that it is insulting to them. It's such a pattern that anyone that Trump talks comes away feeling insulted.

This is what the McDonalds Employees think about his photo op:
“This is cosplay and insulting to people who have actually worked any amount of time in their lives.”

He didn't get hit by the bullet. When the USSS pulled him down, he hit his head on something, the podium, the stage, something and got a cut on the ear that bled a lot. It's typical Trump, trying to take something like a cut and trying to turn it into getting shot. The other shots that the gunman sprayed came no where near Trump, it's hard to believe that this one was so far away from where the others hit since they all came in a matter of 6 seconds before he was shot.

The fact that rich MAGAs think crapping on low wage workers was so cool and funny is exactly why Trump is losing.

I asked this in the Trump fashion thread in the Beauty forum, too - but why doesn't he get a spray tan instead of walking around looking like Baby Jane?

He was falling asleep again today during his roundtable and he kept looking out in the audience for the person he was introducing, who was right next to him. It was weird.
