He’s ECNL club director in California for a big club. He mentioned big changes are going to be announced in about 6 months.

I tried to ask said he wasn’t allowed to say anything specific right now.

Who’s got the best guess?

Word on the street is Clubs will be MLSN/GA or ECNL affiliated. No longer can have both.

USYS is shopping around for a potential partner with MLSN/GA or be merged and absorbed by US Club soccer and they will continue to build out their platform.
Someone said earlier USYS with ECNL. Seems like as good a start as any.

No they said Norcal (league) is trying to align with ECNL and it's not going well.

Is it just me or does it seem like 1 maybe 2 harpies commenting all the time who irrationally hate MLS Next.
Just you.

I agree that there seems to be a lot of irrational hate (or is it jealousy?) for MLSN in this thread.

So there's at least two people that feel this way
Just you.

Come on, just tell us. Which MLS Next club either cut your son or wont offer them a roster spot. Your posts ooze with "a woman scorned" jealousy and a need for revenge.
Can you cite an example of irrational hate?

Discuss anything even partially related to playing down and harpie will bring up biobanding. Which would be ok if they understood why biobanding isnt a good thing for players. Its almost like all they understand is ECNL or leagues structured like them and theyre trying to apply it to MLSN.
So you feel that an attack on biobanding is an attack on MLSN? And this bothers you how?

The NorCal league is aligned with ECNL
top league is RL, NPL, then various lower leagues. Clubs and teams can be relegated up or down. I’m not so sure that it’s going bad? I’m sure there’s always details to figure out as you change things.

Its weird to have two different ECRL leagues with different rules in a single geography

No, Im not a big fan of biobanding either. Mostly because I think RAE is dumb. What gets annoying is the "but MLS Next has Biobanding" comments. We all know that MLS Next has biobanding you dont need to bring it up every 5 minutes. If you're going to continue bringing it up at least try to understand that MLS is setup for identifying talent to play professionally. Scores dont matter (that much). In this kind of environment it actually hurts players chances at playing professionally if they bioband.

Our ECRL players join P2p mlsn team. The chance to play pro from a p2p MLSN is 0.

From what I understand all ECNL Clubs will have their RL teams compete against each other. There will also be a separate RL league for non ECNL clubs.

This is to help ECNL clubs build up by making sure their 2nd teams are always apart of RL.

Not to be offensive but 99.999% B team players have no chance at playing professionally. Its not just an ECRL thing.

Yes, when MLS bailed out boys/mens DA they did it to create an amateur to pro pathway. Honestly they dont care about anything else. College commitments are a by product. Once you understand this biobanding makes some sense.

How much does it cost to play MLSN P2P vs what DA charged? Seems they care about generating revenue also.

Which league in the US is better at producing pro players than MLSN?

I get that you like to flap your tongue and are filled with venom but come on.

So sensitive are we… even an Mlsn nut hugger like yourself has to admit that it’s dead last compared to all other countries. Its primary, embedded pipeline is a pyramid scheme requiring parents to spend 10-15k per year in fees and travel. That won’t get you the best players. We know this, but MLS doesn’t seem to care despite decades of the best professionals worldwide telling the US what is wrong with our system. Heck even Jurgen just said it the other day, Dempsey too.

Lots of MLSN talk on an ECNL thread. Why don’t you people nut up and start your own thread. Because you are clearly on the wrong thread and only the two of you care about this. You can talk about your academy kids nonexistent chance of making pro elsewhere.

The chance for any P2P MLSN player to go pro is 0%. It is a marketing scam that many parents fall for. Any special rule to mimic pro-environment, trying to make those p2p MLSN look legit is fake.

+100, but they will argue on this board for hundreds of pages in the fake illusion. It would be better to create another thread where only the disillusioned can argue where we don’t see the embarrassment. But they won’t because they have no shame.
