nice try. a more apt comparative statement is - 3 is less than 5. it's just facts. |

Like I said before, my kids are grown. So no, I dont really care about what you're saying. What I do care about is not letting DCU feed parents a lie about the quality of their program.and/what it can do for them. The difference is that the majority held option in the nation, is that DCU is inferior. You won't find any credible person telling you otherwise. |
Lol 😆 You arguing with someone on an anonymous forum who's clearly just pushing your triggering self-hate and insecurity buttons has nothing to do with the DC United Academy You think you're smarter than the parents of kids who choose to have their kids at DCU? Why do they need your biased jaded emotional input? Not a single living soul is going to use your gibberish on a gossip forum to decide what to do with their kid. The parents of the talented quality kids didn't need you to become professional academy prospects and they sure as heck won't need you to make decisions. You're delusional on multiple levels thinking either the Academy or the parents would care about your blithering nonsense You ain't no all-knowing sage or prophet except in your own mind You're mildly amusing brief intermittent entertainment btw, where can we find this list of promises and guarantees DC United Academy is giving prospective parents? Your kid didn't make it to fulfill your daydream fantasies and you're angry as heck. Move on to save what's left of your sanity |
Arlington, Achilles and Bethesda each have at least one technical coach on staff that I trust more than the DCU coaches I have had exposure to. That is not a blanket statement the clubs are better. I follow the model that up to U15, technical development and ball mastery are the most important facets of the game you can focus on. I have not been impressed by visiting DCU coaches my son has trained with regarding this aspect of development but I also have not had exposure to the whole coaching staff. I just remain open to the best options for my son. For example, I only hear a few coaches discussing the foot you are receiving on and mastering your first and second touch into space to create a new 2v1 situation on the field. IMHO, this is coaching that should exist at these younger levels versus mastering a 3-5-2, 4-4-2 or 4-3-3 and learning tactical elements to win. Naturally, people are going to argue me down on this but the same people think D1 is elite in the US and I humbly don't because I am training my son to complete globally. Arlington, Alexandria and Bethesda have those coaches with the level of detail to master the basics. SYC "may" but their historic record of player production and focus on winning does not even attract me to look in their direction so I may be blind to what they are doing. Alexandria and VDA may as well but they are too far for me to entertain. If DCUA has those coaches, I just have not experienced them yet. It's okay to send your kid to DCUA because it is your best option. It's not okay to label any anti-DCUA commentary as rejects simply because we don't trust it is the best option available for our kids. Do your research and make the best decision for you. What I have found is that most parents and coaches are not skilled in this level of technical development. Even coaches and parents that are former "D1" don't truly understand the game beyond our American "hustle hard" mentality. |
No need for anyone to read this Opinion piece There are No Clubs in the DMV that is a better pathway to the highest levels of soccer than the DC United Academy Citing one or two outliers from Achilles or SYC doesn't change that fact Anyone telling you different is ignorant or a liar working an angle and agenda |
Is this a joke? You want to see dcu coaches show you their U8 to U13 age range development skills compared to the Grass Roots clubs? Does someone need to point out the issue here? |
I think he/she put that in bold. You mentioning SYC is the opposite of what they wrote. Reading is fundamental. Sounds like the DCUA PR department is back in the fold. That was a pretty measured response and yours is like the orange man ranting ![]() |
Please point it out. We are waiting. |
It was sarcasm apparently because dc doesn't have teams that young So you can't compare |
If I am a DMV family with a high-level kid who wants to make it to the highest level, is it better for me to go to DCU, Philly Union, Red Bulls or Europe at U15 if I have all of the options available to me? What is the worst option on that list? |
Forget the PR department stuff, tell me the answer which club in the dmv is a better avenue to top level soccer than dcu |
All the MLS academies are in the same category with your chances of making it. Low percentage Numbers don't lie If your kid is really at a high level, you would know the answer is Europe |
You must be Cavan Sullivan's dad to have all those options or we need our high dairy farmer boots |
At U15, is it easier to get to Europe from DCUA or a P2P club? |
