They play under the team name The Schrödinger's Cats |
You haven't been following. Too much to explain again. Go through the thread to the part about how DCU decided to drop the U14s the year and have a makeshift "team" playing random games. |
Oh, they have a U14's Future Roster players program Not sure that qualifies as makeshift and random |
considering that most academies have an actual team that trains together all the time, and they had a team at that age group last year, I think "makeshift and random" is fair for what it is now. |
The meanings of makeshift and random is subject to interpretation apparently If the current U14's have a roster, structure and schedule, that by nature makes it neither random nor makeshift Frequency of training and games isn't a qualifier |
Oh? Do they have those things? |
DCU doesn't have a u14 team this year. FULL STOP. However you want to dress that fact up or play it down...be my guest. But that fact doesn't change. Anyone saying otherwise is lying. All of the kids playing with DCU at the u14 age group are basically guest players for DCU while still rostered and playing full minutes at their normal pay to play club. |
DCU has a U14 Future Roster team They have a set roster list with selected game-day rosters They have a dedicated coach They train weekly They have already played multiple games All factual statements |
Future Roster, what a joke. Can't fully commit to our kids, why do we send them there. |
We who? Also, if you have goals and ambitions for your kid to take the best path to the highest levels of soccer, which club is a better option in the DMV than the Professional Academy of DCU? |
🤣🤣🤣 I could say the same about my 6 year olds elementary school team. Like a PP said, there is no u14 team at DCU. Any other statement to the contrary is just putting lipstick on a pig |
In other words, you're saying the statements made above are all true and factual So you can only counter with cynicism |
If you're planning to get to the highest levels of soccer, DCU CANNOT be your path. It is not acceptable. You'd be better off training on your own or with a smaller club that has coaches with similar goals and experience. What works for you in terms of clubs is really individual preference. Then find a better professional academy. DCU is a waste of time and valuable development years. Especially if your goal is the highest levels of soccer in our country. its like saying you want to go to an ivy league school but put your kid in the worst school in the country. Could it happen? .maybe. but highly unlikely. |
Yes the statements you say are all true. So what?? It doesn't change the fact that there is no MLS Next team competing in MLS next at u14 for DCU. You just can't get around that fact...and that fact means DCU is a less comprehensive program than most of the programs in the MLS. Which in turn confirms the obvious...DCU is an inferior academy in the MLS. |
New York Pizza is inferior to Chicago pizza North Carolina barbecue is inferior to Texas barbecue Rock & Roll is inferior to Country music See how easy it is to just say your opinion Isn't your kid at a top European academy? Why are you so overly obsessed with DC? Or is it that you're obsessed with DC kids because you so badly wish your kid was as good as them? |
