Trump’s Dementia

“I read the NYT and WaPo every morning. Stories of Trump's mental incapacity - distinct from stories that criticize his decisions without mentioning his mental health - are exceedingly rare, and there has NEVER been an editorial about it in either newspaper during his second term! Recently, some Opinion pieces have been allowed to talk about it, either directly, like in the recent NYT piece, or very circuitously, like some WaPo articles.

So the main centrist newspapers are not on board yet. They have to get on board and be more forthright about his recent, very clear symptoms of dementia, such as when he was told to tell the press the Jesus image was doctored, but instead he said he thought it depicted him as a doctor. This is dereliction of duty at this point.”

Good summary.

It was dereliction of duty for the GOP to not wrest the codes from Trump when he threatened to destroy Iran.

Are you seriously calling the NY Times and Washington Post, centrist?

Yes, I am, because this is what they are.

+1. MAGA only call those papers liberal bc they actually report news, cover aet and other cultural topics, and do profiles of people on the margins. They are very much centrist papers, especially on topics like Israel and sane-washing our nursing home president.

I really dislike trump, but I don't think this clip shows evidence of anything actionable. He's an old guy farting out exaggerated stories about snakes.

Remember the one time that Biden messed up at a debate and the news wouldn’t stop talking about it and his whole party turned against him?

Because Biden's brand was being the adult in the room. With Trump the insanity is expected.

And that is wrong. Anyone who though, "insanity, that's what I want in the Oval Office" should be committed.

He is gone. He was incompetent BEFORE and now he is beyond incompetent and deranged.

25th NOW.

Yes. All of this.

Centrist is too kind for what they are. They have normalized Trump's derangement by NEVER calling it out until a week ago. They have done more damage than anyone. Ended one subscription last year, the other this year.

He said 28,000 people a year die from this snake's bites in Peru. That is DEMENTED. In case, you are curious, I just looked it up and Peru averages about 10 snakebite deaths per year

Welp, he's an old man telling tall tales. Doesn't mean he's demented.

My goodness, and the Republicans in Congress are ok with this mess?

Melania standing there the entire time, listening to that drivel. I would love to know what was going through her mind.

She barely understands English, so...

PP you replied to. I share that sentiment, but there is no political word to designate media that fails to point out a President's mental health challenges. These newspapers are neither left nor right in their political bent. They're derelict in their duty to report on Trump's cognitive decline because they're terrified of being sued into bankruptcy. As are ALL major news sources in the US today, BTW. They're ALL cowards.

What's going through her mind: Bullwinkle saying "Hey Rocky, watch me pull a rabbit out of my hat!"

Stop it. At this point the dementia is well-documented. We don't need experts to weigh in anymore. We can all see it.
Epstein talked about it in 2017!!!

If you need to rely on "reporting" to convince you of how and why an elderly narcissist is unfit to be most powerful man in the world, you are part of the problem that led to him being elected TWICE!

What if that same media source pointed out one president's challenges ad nauseum and then refused to point out the very next president's challenges even though they were much more evidencence and in every qualifiable way, by any matrices, eh was doing much more damage to the country and our institutions?

Yes, they are cowards, but if they apply their rules inconsistently and represent reality inconsistently they are not just derilect in their duties, they are serving that party.
