Uhhhh, yeah it is. |
It's part of a duplex. Attached by one wall, also, rather ugly and small. Price per sq.ft. is always going to be higher in more urban area that aren't dumpy, so it looks overpriced. practical choice for someone not needing too much space, not wanting condo fees, and wanting balance between urban and suburban. |

This thread isn't about practical, well connected and generally nice areas, and personal preferences. Nobody looking for prestige *specifically* has Del Ray on their radar. Personally, I like it, but I am not from here. There is some ugly housing and what looks like low income apartments, so maybe that's what drags it down together with schools? There is nothing more special about it than Arlington, or some parts of MOCO, and for 900K I can get a small rowhouse in DC premium areas that beat Del Ray any day. Competition for top dollar buyer with deep pockets to spend millions is not going to happen in this type of areas, it's not going to be full of urban mansions like Kalorama or Gtown or some parts of NWDC, and because of small lots, proximity to lower income areas, and the above (fugly apartment buildings and duplexes) big $$$$ SFH construction is unlikely to come there either. |
