I thank you for that. Having the sidewalk to yourself is a natural right of every white man. And make you speak only when spoken to.

PP here who posted about Rosenbaum’s past to say stfu you knuckdragging, cave dwelling cracker.

Don’t tell people to calm down. You’re not the teacher. People are furious. Furious, and looking for an outlet for that anger. And some outlet had better be found pretty quick or there’s going to be trouble. I was at a Shutdown DC emergency protest this evening at Judiciary Sq and I’m telling you, there is a ton of pent up rage and anger ready to come out over this.

Calm down.

If this ruling triggers "rage" in you then you really need to consider changing your media consumption.

If this miscarriage of justice doesn’t trigger “rage” in you, then you are either a republican or a the typical DC boutique progressive whose activism consists primarily on their Facebook or Instagram account.

There hasn’t been one actual lawyer on this page who disagrees with the verdict (unless I missed it). What makes you qualified to declare this a “miscarriage of justice”?

Some people have no sense of humor.

In the big picture Trayvon was a tragedy. Trayvon was not a 36 year old ex con who raped little boys and served 14 years in prison for doing so.

Again, it is not rocket science. If you rape little kids, get out of prison and some 17 year old kills you when you chase him into a car lot I am not going to waste any energy arguing for prison time for the kid who killed you. Sorry.

Some bad faith actors on left are acting like the actual facts don’t matter because it is inconvenient for their narrative. It would be so much better for their story if Rosenbaum wasn’t a white child rapist who served 14 years in prison for raping kids and was at the protest that night not to protest Jacob Blake but because he just wandered into the area after being released from a mental hospital with a plastic bag full of his belongings. But he was a white child rapist and he could care less about BLM or Jacob Blake. He was not an ally. He was not some innocent who was just gunned down for no reason. He was a crazed child rapist who chased a 17 year old boy into a car lot. If Rosenbaum actually was some altruistic activist who was actually gunned down for no reason I would have a different opinion. But he wasn’t and people need to acknowledge that.

Just break it down a little further. A convicted child rapist chased a 17 year old minor into a parking lot and cornered him. I'd be scared too.

If this verdict triggers "rage" in you, consider seeking professional help. The jury's verdict was appropriate given the facts, which overwhelming support the defendant's claim of self-defense. You would have to do violence to the burden of proof and presumption of innocence to come to a different conclusion. As a moderate, it is comical (and a bit frightening) to see so-called liberals lose their minds over this verdict.

“As a moderate”. Spoken like a true acolyte of he who must be obeyed.

KR didn’t know he was convicted for that. Your fantasy world is incredible.

Why are 17 yo allowed to carry guns?! This is the root of the problem!

+1 from a legal standpoint, the victim's criminal past has zero to do with this case. KR didn't shoot him because of the guy's past. These two were strangers to each other.

agree, and not just a little handgun, but a semiautomatic. This kid clearly had GI Joe fantasies and played too many video games.

No remorse whatsoever, no self-awareness. He is going to kill again, bank on it.

Even when presented with facts, you choose to ignore them and paint your own narrative.

NP. I don’t want to get into the merits of this verdict, I think this case was rightfully won on the technicalities of the law and the performance of the defense and prosecution.

I am curious whether it’s acceptable to you that a 17 year old can legally carry an army style weapon, travel to an area of unrest and confront other violent individuals? To me that’s a breakdown of the social fabric, like Clockwork Orange come to life.

DP. I don't think it is okay. But, it was legal. However, it is clear that Rittenhouse was attacked. It was self-defense. Should he have been there? No. Should the pthers have been there? No. Should they have attacked Rittenhouse? I think the answer is pretty clear.

The big mistake (I posted this earlier) was Jacob Blake pulling a knife and the media cover up of that fact.

I think that rioters burning a city in protest of the police rightfully shooting a violent convicted criminal who was resisting arrest and lunging for a weapon is the foundational problem. Seeing video of business owners on their roofs defending themselves from rioters because the police were unable to help paints a dystopian picture of how low we’ve sunk as a nation. Should 17 year olds be allowed to own guns…..definitely not. Should this kid have been wandering into a riot……definitely not. Did this kid confront anybody……definitely not. But take a step back and identify the real problem with what happened in Kenosha and how the media covered this case…….those are the issues that are corrosive to society not some idiot kid.
