The Kane Show (Part 4)

Really? Intern John posted tributes and memories about his love for Prince too, and I haven't seen a single thing on here about how ridiculous his posts about Prince were. Here is one, for the record:

Being from Minnesota I can tell you that ?#?Prince? was to Minnesota what Elvis was to Memphis, and what Eminem is to Detroit. Though he was like illusion in that he was rarely seen, everyone seemed to have a Prince story. One of my favorites is that there was a night at a club in Minneapolis where he showed up one night to do a surprise show, and had his security guars carry him in because he didn't want to get his shoes wet, but since he was Prince it was cool. I remember one of my first weeks at my first radio job on 101.3 KDWB we had tickets for Prince's 7-7-7 show on July 7th 2007. I was in a parking lot with someone else from the radio station, we had maybe two extra pairs of tickets. The parking lot must have been packed with 200+ people trying to win these tickets. How would they win? We would literally hit their car with an axe, and if they were ok with that, they would win the tickets. We ended up having to do a drawing to see who's car would be hit because that's how many Minnesotans were willing to exchange the damage for tickets, that's how much Minnesota loved Price. And literally EVERY Minnesotan could drive you to Paisley Park blindfolded. A true icon

OH NO! IJ made his post about HIM too. What ever shall we do!? In fact, he has FOUR Prince-related posts on his Facebook page (Danni has 5 posted).

But seriously, I get that Danni is annoying, often, very often, but there is nothing wrong with her paying her respects to someone she admired. A lot of us love Prince and are very saddened by his sudden death.

I hope you can see how the posts are completely different. John's does not have the me me me aspect. He says Prince was important to Minnesota, tells a story and moves on. Whereas Danni had to go on about herself. I'm honestly not saying one is right or wrong, but there is a reason Danni annoys people and her post about Prince was a prime example.

I took it pretty hard when MCA from the Beastie Boys died, but no way would I think about going to NYC

I'm just kinda amazed that Danni can still afford a nanny and why does she even need one? She use to bring her kids to TKS so why not that ONE day out of the week at TLC studios? Lol.

She may very well have been a lifelong prince fan or whatever but it makes her appear disingenuine to be SO AFFECTED and SO INTO whatever the cause of the moment is. Just my two cents.

Yesterday I told my people I was homesick. If you think I was homesick yesterday imagine how today feels. My sweet nanny Jay just came in and sat on the edge of my bed. She shyly asked me why Prince's death affected me the way it did. To be clear I wailed like a wounded animal when I found out. There are many Prince lovers, but Minnesota Prince lovers are a different breed.
I was born into loving Prince. I didn't have a choice. My mom and aunty used to chase around Prince before he was the Prince you know and love.

Years ago Prince performed at a theatre in Mpls. If you can believe this, Prince was just the guitarist. He was featuring this girl group he had put together. I didn't care about them, sorry ladies, I wanted to see Prince. At the end of the show Prince looked over and yelled to his stage manager to let ladies come up and dance. I was in the LAST row...I told my boss Sam to move and headed to the stage. He looked at me and said, "Danni it's never gonna happen." As I ran like a mad woman towards the stage I screamed back, "WATCH ME!"
That night I danced on stage with Prince. Actually I wouldn't call it dancing. I looked at his purple highness and I literally lost all Rhythm, to make things worse when he smiled at me I blurted out, "MY MOM LOVES YOU!" and she does, but so did I and I was massively embarrassed.

I loved Prince. I waited HOURS outside of First Ave with BFC on 07/07/07 only to hear Prince do about 2 songs before the city shut the party down. I was in heels, could barely walk by the end, and it was all worth it.

Last summer I saw Prince perform in Baltimore. He was doing a Peace concert for Freddie Gray. I could not believe how amazing he was. Such a musical genius.
I loved prince for his music, but I really loved Prince for his advocacy and activism.

I looked for a flight to go home, but with the girls it just wasn't doable. So this weekend my little brother is flying to be with me. We are going to watch Purple Rain, binge listen to all Prince music and talk about Prince like he was family...because to Minnesotan's he was family.
Prince was ride or die for Minnesota, I literally just want to be back in my city. Mourning from here is ?

If you take a look at many social media pages, people post similar things. He was an icon, not your average everyday artist. To those that grew up in Minnesota it's a bit different. She's just sharing her love and memories people.

It's one thing to share your memories.. It's another thing to leave your children and responsibilities to mourn the death of a celebrity. Yet again, more time away from her kids.. I think she loves her children, but I don't think she loves taking care of them.
Also, the line about her brother flying in to be with her is so over dramatic.

I agree, in fact, I really like hearing people's stories.....I seen a post earlier (not IJ)--where Prince had made a huge donation to a library in MN, so it would stay open....love, love, love stories like that....yeah, I don't know why everything that happens in the world, Danni can turn it into "poor me, woe is me" ---she does need help.

Agreed.. Danni's posts are self-serving, sanctimonious, and obnoxious.

Her most recent post about prince is just a veiled brag about herself and how funny tony fly and her morning show was. Can she give it a rest!!!!! Sorry again on my phone, can't copy and paste.

While we all mourn in different ways, there is quite the difference between Danni's posts regarding Prince vs. IJ's posts.

Being from Minnesota, everyone knows the legendary First Avenue. If you've seen "Purple Rain" then you know First Avenue in Minneapolis is where ?#?Prince? shot the movie. Outside the venue, the walls are covered in black with stars on them. When an artist sells out a show there, their name goes on the wall. Obviously not a problem for Prince
One of the main reasons Minnesotans love him so much is even after all the fame he didn't leave for LA or New York, he stayed true to his roots

Also people aren't offering John condolences. Dannis fans, however, are doing that. Every few days Danni posts some emotional post that really isn't that dramatic, but she makes it that way. She loves the attention. Just like how when comments and likes on her page are getting low, she posts some shady post directed at the Kane show. She's a loose cannon.

I can't find anything online regarding prince saying anything about the tony fly show. In fact, this thread is on the first page of results. Lol.
