The owner of the Daily Mail when the Queen was first crowned. Versus his son now.

If they willingly left, why are they so bitter, petulant and angry?
I am SO confused. These two are so stupid and self absorbed. They CHOSE to step away from their public service commitments. Now they are angry they can no longer support their charities? Something tells me it was the BRF that gave them the boot initially. |
They wanted to keep the good Royal stuff without having any responsibility or restrictions. Duh. |
Right and being the vapid, self absorbed grifters that they are, they are seething that their royal gravy train is now officially shut. They will have to hustle without any promise of public access to the BRF. A big part of their money making scheme is now taken away. |
LOL gravy train? They don’t make any money as Royals - the only ones with actual money are the Queen and Prince of Wales. Meanwhile in less than a year the Sussex’s have netted deals worth $100 million. And are going to get a substantial percentage of Daily Mail earnings from 2019 because they won their lawsuit. |
Allegedly. They have not produced a podcast for Spotify since their last one in December. It was lacking in substantive content and was soundbites from their famous friends. What is going on with their Netflix deal? How come we have no details about their upcoming projects? Maybe we will hear about them on Oprah. They're whole "brand" is "celebrity royals." Now their royal access is publically cut or limited. Are Meghan and Harry interesting by themselves as individuals? |
You’re a riot! He’s going to be King someday. Harry is the Duke of Santa Barbara. |
DP. I found this recent article which appears to be pure gossip (I'm not familiar with the site): https://www.newidea.com.au/meghan-markle-prince-harry-netflix-dumped |
And this one, which is more direct: https://okmagazine.com/p/oprah-prince-harry-meghan-markle-interview-cbs-netflix/ |
But what does that even mean these days? Royals don't rule anymore and they barely reign. Royals don't inspire the awe-struck reactions anymore. Society has moved on...without them. And both William and Harry have said that being the monarch is a job that no one really wants. You actually think that he'd prefer a life of being told what he can and cannot do, can and cannot say? That's the real riot. |
I totally disagree. As someone who is firmly anti-royalist, I think the palace comes across as extremely petty, out of the two. Hurting charities because a family member made you sad? H&M's statement sounds kind of dumb, but the palace looks much worse. They look desperate and petty. |
I was definitely wondering what Netflix thinks of the Oprah deal. |
Are you saying this as a British person? Because I don't think that's true. Sure, no one is afraid that the wrong word in front of a royal will get you killed. But hierarchy is still very important in British culture. |
me too - netflix and spotify look like suckers while CBS made out great! |
