While I agree with what you're saying as one reason others are definitely leaving for the longer season and greater exposure that comes inherent to the DA. There are also top players that leave/left without it being an issue of minutes.

Well then that's great news for Spirit

Heard WS took a couple players from other clubs NPL "B" teams but passed on ones from those clubs "A" teams. Confused parents who politicked their DDs onto A teams may now commence head explosions.

DA is position specific. So a team theoretically would take a B team defender over a A team striker if fits the teams needs.

Only the deepest DA team would take this strategy certainly not any of the Spirit teams. It's likely a bogus claim anyway.

Or maybe there was an excellent player on the B team, who had been overlooked for whatever reason on the home club

Yeah I call BS on that claim. A good player can be moved into multiple positions, you just find a place for her.

It's not BS. I know of a stud player leaving a stud team because too many studs at her position.

She'll go somewhere else and run the show. Smart move.

So are they going to push out the current talent? There's only so much space on Green & Red.

This is probably a good argument to have 90 minute games. Allows a deeper bench at younger ages that could have impact. but i’m guessing it would be played out poorly by coaches.

Wash spirit 06 seems to be a mess. Official offers sent out Tuesday for a larger group_ they're holding out until a Sunday session to see in person who was offered. And has a coach been named yet?!?!

Happens quite often. Top coach doesn't want to ruffle feathers and keeps players on that should be on B team.

What is it you aren't following?

It's 6/7 from same team that were offered positions they were offered at least a month ago if not longer but not officially.
Now they're holding out which may put a link in that travel clubs tryouts this week

And no coach announced that I'm aware of.

^^^You are making no sense-they supposedly offered official paid spots to U13 players on April 27 and had majority of team filled at that time. So are you saying they are having more open tryouts? Team not yet filled? And yes-no official word yet on coach.

So where has the the DA cheerleader Wash Spirit VA 04 sock puppet gone? He appears to have gone strangely silent in the last week after it was reported that offers went out for Wash Spirit VA DA. The board has been so civil and informative lately. Hmmm. Wonder what happened? Maybe he is busy shopping his DD around at ECNL tryouts...
