Last month I was sure it was in a death spiral, due to Trump's lackluster fundraising compared to Harris, his continued exhibitions of nastiness and memory lapses, and the disorganized ground game of his campaign associates...

... but due to misogyny, racism and unequal media coverage, he's thriving. Meaning, that piece of felonious, grab-them-by-the-p#ssy, dead-soldiers-are-losers, garbage is neck and neck with a decent candidate who happens to be non-white and female.

Sad state of affairs.

Nope. It's Democrats' response to crime, illegal immigration, and the economy. (I voted for Harris btw)

Any issues that the Democrats may have on matters of crime, illegal immigration and the economy are fixable.

Trump's obvious physical and mental decline on the other hand is not ever going to be fixable and will only get worse.

You are probably one of the same stupid posters who thought Biden was sharp as a tack despite clearly demonstrating signs of dementia his entire presidency.

Nope. I thought Biden was competent (not great) in 2020, but was so much better than Trump. Biden lasted 2-3 years before he declined past the expiration date. I see that Trump is better than Biden is now, but is much weaker both physically and mentally than Biden was in 2020. So that means that by the mid-terms, Trump will be in worse condition than Biden is now and that is unacceptable. This means that Vance and the cabinet will be looking at using 25A to remove Trump from office (since we know that he will not step down voluntarily, just like Biden) and then we'll be stuck with President Vance, which is an even worse idea that a senile President Trump.

Whether you think Trump is better than Biden, do you realistically think that Trump has the stamina and the mental capacity to endure for 4 years? Knowing that the White House typically ages the Oval Office holder around 10 years during a single term? He's barely functional now and you expect him to last 4 years in the Oval Office? That's even dumber than most of what the MAGA believe.

+1000. It's amazing how we have to explain to so many moronic Americans why voting for 80 year old presidents is a terrible idea. An 80 year candidate would have zero chance of winning anything up until 2016. Now, after electing an unhinged clown in 2016, our country have been retrained to think any warm body with a pulse can be POTUS as long as they carry an R or D next to their names.

The majority of politicians that are Trump's age are planning their retirements. McConnell, Cardin, Manchin, Romney, and others. Many Congressmen/Senators age 75+ are retiring.

No, as far as I'm concerned, every time he appears in public, he is looking more and more like a senior nursing home resident who needs to have caretakers to keep him from hurting himself.

I keep thinking there is a wave of Silver Alerts that are following his campaign tour around the country.

But you were totally okay with voting for Biden in 2020. And lemme guess, you would've voted for him in this election had he not dropped out. Hypocritical dems!

I didn't vote for Biden in 2020 and definitely won't vote for Trump in 2024. It only takes half a brain and a smidgen of common sense to figure out people their age should not have the most important and powerful job in the world. Do better people

I’m glad that JD Vance at 39 is the youngest person in this race!

I am a RINO that has been abandoned by the current Republican party. I, like thousands of my fellow former Republicans, cannot stomach what Trump has done to destroy our party and our country. Yes, in both cases, but only because I was voting against Trump. Had the GOP nominated a sane candidate then I would not have voted for Biden nor would I be voting for Harris. But both of them are far superior to Donald Trump. I think both were/are poor candidates, but bad is still better than worst.

It's the white non-college WOMEN. The overturning of Roe was a fundamental shock. And these are women who are more likely to have had kids out of marriage, be single moms, and probably availed themselves of abortion at some point.

Trump might still win this group, but a reduction of 5-10 percentage points would be devastating for Trump's prospects.

+1. And I will make a wild guess that talking about Arnold Palmer's junk and men showering together at a rally, which has gone viral on social media and TV, is not exactly endearing him among women who are wavering or undecided. In the tiny biased sample of R-leaning women I know, the reaction to all this has ranged from a resigned look of bemusement to outright anger, which is amplified every time they see the footage of men laughing behind him as he holds forth. Lots of women, regardless of their politics, care deeply about how men speak and appear in public, and right now they are embarrassed of this man. Many would still vote for him of course, but it takes only 1 out of 10 to stay home or defect to Harris to decide the election.

Manchin and Romney would absolutely be running again if they could win.

Considering Trump is leading or tied in nearly every single poll, I would hardly consider him in a death spiral.

It’s Harris, who has every advantage: age, personality, no criminal record, sitting VP…yet she isn’t a clear win

You think a barmy old man who can’t finish softball interviews by friendly outlets, who literally stood on stage and danced for forty minutes to random songs he likes, who can’t speak without slurring or mush mouthing the words (when he can find them), whose policies are terrible, who has no ground game, no enthusiasm - you think this is a healthy campaign.

And how many of them are registered republicans voting early in swing states.

What's horrible is that half the country is ready to vote for him, because the polls are neck and neck, DESPITE Trump being, literally, in a demented death spiral.

Men prefer to vote for a white demented death spiral over a non-white woman.

I'm going to go out on a limb and say that THIS IS MESSED UP.
