People. The demographic breakdown of FARMS is entirely dependent on zip code.
In the Appalachia part of western Maryland, FARMs kids are all white. All of 'em. Maybe Ummm @ 22:44 is from a county like that. In the District of Columbia, there are exactly three white FARMs kids. Most are black, and many are Hispanic whites. A few might be Asian. In the poorer part of Annandale, you might find some Vietnamese FARMs kids -- which you would never, ever, see in Appalachia Maryland or Brookland in DC. Thank you. |

No, that's heavily coded for families that qualify with a low enough income to have their children recieve reduced meals! You can be a parent making a six figure income and if you have one child, you wouldn't qualify but if you have four kids and your debt to ratio can qualify for you that you may really be living off of a $40,000 salary then you too can qualify for FARM. So sick of you white parent using sites like this to dump your racist, ignorant remarks! The fact that you see an AA and assume they are on reduced lunch because we are poor is beyond me. There are so many stable white Americans taking advantage of these programs as well that really don't need it as if you "high/SES/whites" haven't benifited from enough fucking free labor from AA. You know what I mean by that? This nation was built on the backs of slaves for free labor for a long damn time! You stole this land from natives and used others to build you big houses to sit your lazy asses in for years! Now y'all wanna throw hidden body shots! I so WISH for some of you on here making these comments could have the courage to say these same things publicly face to face or in open forum!!!!! But that will NEVER happen so all you can do is hide behind "anonymous". LMBFAAO!!!! Wow, somebody's got a serious chip on their shoulder and thinks every white person got something at their expense, and now owes you in return.
A great many whites in America came to America as immigrants in the last 100 years, long after slavery was abolished, they never had anything to do with it. And even when there was slavery, it was far from every white who owned slaves - only the landed, wealthy elite, the plantation owners of the south owned slaves, the rest of the whites were typically little more than poor white sharecroppers and laborers who couldn't afford slaves, not to mention those who found slavery abhorrent and wouldn't take slaves even if they could afford them. And... let's not forget the little inconvenient fact that many Africans were sold into slavery by their fellow Africans, who routinely practiced slavery as well. Google that before going on another reverse racist rant against whites suggesting they all owe you something. |

Gee I got the impression that the poster who referred to "code for AA", was an AA who was annoyed that some might think it is code for AA. I know I do not[u] think FARMS is code for AA since it really can be any kid.Some of the posters here really need to get out of DC once in awhile. Additionally I would not assume that there are no white kids who qualify for FARMS in DC. |
