Should we ask women to stay inside and slather their face 24/7 with sunscreen to avoid any creases or lines? Do we ask the same of men???

My kids don't care if I have wrinkles. When I'm 70, they'll care even less.

We do actually. Attractive tall men are infinitely times more likely to be in a high-up elected position. Look at Macron and Trudeau - millennials fall over themselves for them. They get a lot of work done to keep up their appearance. It’s embarrassing when all of these world leaders are married to very attractive, put together, poised women and the world superpower gets stuck with..well..Jill.

Trudeau's wife is 46.

Macron's wife was a child predator.

I think Jill represents well.

I think we all get Macron's style but it is highly stylized and hardly natural. Jill Biden is athletic. Her vibe is and has been sporty, American casual. For her "cohort", i.e. ph.d.s, she is a beauty. People dress to match their personality. She looks put together, she just has a more natural style. There's a difference.

She does not have a PhD BTW.

She lacks style, IMO. I don't think she is "natural" at all. She just has bad taste.

She has stylists. So blame them.

Lol , if she has a stylist she/he needs to be fired ASAP! There’s no way

It’s fashion, not personal. Did you say this on the 400+ pg thread on Melania?

I don't mind it. And it's not too tight like in the Trump years. It's fine.

Just curious, how do you feel about all of the celebrities and their super tight clothing? I mean, some are basically painted on.

This dress feels like something Ivanka would have worn. I don’t love it but don’t hate it either.

I like the pattern and color and dress - I don’t see it as a hideous at all.
But not the best style for Jill.

I really hate the D&G dress. Melania wore them a lot and I think I just don’t particularly care for D&G at least in its present incarnation. The dress seems to me to be not Jill’s style and also maybe overthought (trying to send symbolic messages instead of just looking good). She’s generally better in simple, unfussy stuff that is bright and cheerful.

I think the hair is fine. She doesn’t need Nancy Pelosi’s bob just because she is over 70. So long as the length doesn’t go below collar bone, I think she can carry it off. Sometimes I think the front layers look a bit heavy when she needs a trim but that’s probably inevitable with that cut. At least it doesn’t look like a front piece like Melania’s sometimes did.

I like the dress a lot. However, in this context: conservative business where everyone else in the room is in black/navy, it looks like odd ball out

yes, she does have a PhD. But before you can embark on a Breitbart loving rant with lies about her academic credentials, please take it to the Politics Forum where those with tinfoil hats are welcome.

She does not have a PhD. She has an EdD.

She has a Ph.D. The end, you losers who don't know the difference.

I usually love her clothes - and I even love her hair - but I don't think that dress quite works. I think she's standing awkwardly in the pic, which contributes.

Jill is on Vogue. Beautiful photograph by Annie Leibovitz. The dress is a perfect choice.

Eh, I don’t love the dress. But she looks really beautiful and young here

I don’t love the dress at all, either. It looks like a dress a really old lady would wear to church.
Anonymous
Do you think anyone in her close circle has talked to her about her hair? And she just rebuffs them because her husband prefers long hair?? I’m not a fan of her, but she would look so much better with an improved hairstyle.

The Vogue dress is definitely a step up from the hodgepodge last week of tablecloth scraps.

The dress does nothing for her.

Print again all wrong scale/too large for her smaller frame.

Hair again a miss. Overly bleached/all one color with bangs and sloppy styling. Makeup foundation wrong color and lipstick could be rosier.

PP who contends she could be positively stunning with pro stylists. First priority: update the hairstyle!
