Does not seem like the fans are digging it.

I think this is sponsored and she's getting something for allowing the campaign to use her platform as one giant political ad - Glennon is not the only one for sure - but aren't they supposed to disclose that they're partners or paid posts?

Discuss.

Were they paid by the Harris campaign to promote, interview and be part of the fundraising Zoom? Does that need to be disclosed anywhere? Harris spent over a billion dollars and ended up in debt from paying real celebrities to perform, building a podcast set and all sorts of things. Wonder if she paid influencers, etc and if the trio got any of that $$.

No. Most of these platforms did it for free, we hate Trump that much.

Yes, she did. The FEC filings for her campaign are public. Oprah denied getting paid then backtracked when it was found out her company Harpo productions got 1,000,000 dollars, yes, 1 million from the Harris campaign. Oprah claimed it was for production costs. 20 million was spent on concerts with people like Christina Aguilar, Katy Perry and Lady Gaga. She donated a half million to Al Sharpton's nonprofit around the time he interviewed her. She purchases social media influencers through marketing agencies like Village Marketing (1.9 Million), The problem with the way the laws are is influencers may not have to disclose so we may never know if Glennon got paid for her interview and promoting of Harris.

I made my once a quarter browse of her podcast, and was shocked to hear that she has "given up" social media?

Maybe this will be her path to some kind of healing? She has been circling the drain (and taking Abby with her) for a few years now.

I wish her well and hope she does indeed go analog and create a lovely little life for herself. The constant need for attention must be exhausting.

I don't know why anyone thinks they're circling the drain. I just listened to their recent podcast from this week and they sound happy and fine.

Why do I think they are circling the drain? They raised money for charities with alleged terrorist ties, closed their charity without acknowledging any mistakes or showing any remorse for what the money might have funded, expressed solidarity with the actions of Hamas led Gaza and never once mentioned Hamas as causing so much suffering in Gaza including murdering and stealing from their own people while Hamas leaders have billions. A close friend of hers reportedly asked her to speak out against rising antisemitism and she would not.The pod-squad silence is deafening as tortured and raped hostages with citizenship from around the world are getting released among a sea of terrorists (who she seems to think are victims of genocide) in exchange for hundreds of murderers and criminals. She did once post a photo of hostages brutally murdered in captivity and she did make sure to post that she opened her home to Jewish news-person during the LA fires so I guess that makes everything OK.

Girl, go write a senator about actual issues impacting our country. You are obsessed.

I am very politically active. I think we will see a lot of charities closing down that have ties to terrorism. It's not woke to fund billionaires who murder their own people and rob them of humanitarian aide.

The other thing that really gets me is this - Abby's soccer career - her experiences, insights, reflections, opinions, etc, are frequently devalued by Glennon, who has, to absolutely NO ONE's surprise, made it ALL about Glennon and her stupid "the soccer" commentary. Glennon even - for some inexplicable reason - appeared alongside Abby on Tobin and Christen's RE/cap podcast recently because Glennon cannot just let Abby go share her unique and well-earned insights ABOUT SOCCER without hovering nearby and basking in Abby's fame & success. Control, devaluation, manipulation, fits of rage, sabatoging big moments, making it all about Glennon, etc. It is classic narcissism and yet no one seems to see it for what it is.

Even when some male soccer star was lauded on Twitter for some record, G had to respond about "her wife" matching his record in her league. Like, G, I don't know, let the guy celebrate his moment. Don't constantly insert yourself into every conversation, using Abby as per usual.

Abby should write a memoir titled "Tamed" because that is what G has done to her.

G is a mentally unhinged woman who needs a better therapist, or to quit therapy and just try to be a better person. If you can "do hard things," why can't you close a cabinet door? Or put a cap on a tube of toothpaste?
I heard a podcast recently where a philosophy professor at DePaul was lamenting a lack of moral ambition among people anymore. G can't walk her talk.

any idea of more info? I want to listen to this

Doesn't look like she is on the path to healing. She reports it was as hard get off social media as it was to give up her other addictions and now she's back for attention with a newsletter. Maybe that will be easier on her-she can share her ideas and opinions and not have to see comments with difference in opinions or criticism.

The professor is named Jason Hill and he teaches philosophy at DePaul. His comment on the lack of moral ambition in people was kind of an aside in an interview he was giving to Becket Cook on his podcast. It was a very thoughtful and candid interview with some incredible insights and observations.

Not the poster you are responding to, but I watched part of that before bed and I am looking forward to watching the rest. (Youtube has it as a video). He does have some incredible insights and observations and he doesn't just follow the latest zeitgeist.

Yeah, don’t get it. I have friends who love her but a couple podcasts and part of an audio book and… no.
