| Is Great Falls Reston FC under investigation for Safe Sport Violations? Their kids are encouraged by the coach and parents to hurt other kids. When the other teams fight back, they blame the other teams. The one coach, Gusss was threatening individual players to remove them from the field and all the parents could hear him. Aren't these all Safe Sport violations? They apparently incited a near riot at one of their ECNL RL games where the entire team's parents got Red Cards. This has to be addressed. |
| Guss = 🔥💩 |
Whaaaaaaaaat?!? |
| The parents at this club are as bad as their players. Instigating fights on the field. This club should be avoided at all cost. |
| The entire team's parents got red cards? Which game was this? |
When the talent leaves (which it is) you're left with needing to be extremely physical to keep possession. The physical play they teach from u-9 up is a regular concern I hear from even GFR parents not just other team's parents. |
Who's Guss? And what team does he(?) coach? |
| I don't believe you can't red card parents, just the coach. If the parents get tossed, he gets the card. What team is this?? |
|
Parents can and do get carded. The coaching staff or team manager must ensure they leave at that point. If the parent does not leave, the team loses the match and the match is terminated.
For series instances, a report is filed to and sit- outs (to include parents or team staff) are listed on the match sheet for the next match. Also, the punishments for sit-outs are triple if the ref happens to be a minor. |
| One of the girls teams playing in Maryland. The girls were practically fist fighting on th field. They teach their kids to do anything to win. Sicko. |
When was this? And which team was it? |
I thought this was SYC reading this. Lol. Their girls regularly cuss out opposing players while manhandling them. We've not seen it quiet as bad from GFR yet. When skills aren't there physicality and speed is a player's only option. |
Until PP states when this supposedly occurred and with which (age group) team, I call BS. MY DD has played for GFR for 5 years and I've never seen anything like what is being described here happen. GFR did add some new "B teams" when another club merged into them before the start of this year and I don't know anything about those teams, admittedly, but I've never seen this behavior from the girls ECNL-RL teams. |
There weren’t any girls GFRSC teams - ECNL-RL, EDP or NCSL - that played in Maryland this past weekend. |
I can't speak for the NCSL teams but I concur about the RL and EDP teams. |
