There are girls from 16 and Pregnant that have, but not Teen Mom. Kail is supposed to graduate this Spring.

She won't because she's taking a semester off to recover from her tummy tuck and associated ass injections.

I was wondering how that was going to work out. I wonder why she even started the semester.

I laughed when Amber and Matt met the Realtor and the Realtor asked, what do you do for work? Amber says she was on Teen Mom and now is on Teen Mom OG and the audience doesn't hear what Matt does.

I wonder if Farrah will throw a fit that she wasn't invited to Cait and Tyler's wedding.

Farrah needs a wake up call in the worst way. She cusses in front of her kid all the time, and you know Sophia will cuss in school, just a matter of when.

I just watched the Caitlyn and Tyler wedding episode, and I thought that it was really touching. I loved Caitlyn's dress. I was tearing up when Theresa came back to talk to Caitlyn before the wedding. And, Tyler's vows were the best I have ever heard, a Hollywood movie writer could not have done better. It was also sweet how Tyler danced with Carly. The whole thing was just very sweet and happy. The only thing I didn't like was how Tyler's sister threw Butch under the bus in front of everyone in her wedding speech. Even if Butch was an awful dad, that was not the time or place.

I think it's pretty well understood that you can't solve money problems with money. It helps, but if you don't have the tools to manage it properly, you'll end up where you started. How many lottery winners end up broke?

C&T especially had essentially no role models in their lives for responsible...anything. It's really amazing that they're doing as well as they are. I'm not surprised that they don't have degrees yet. Nobody in their family does, and even though they said they wanted to start/finish college, it's clear that it's not essential for their survival right now.

I think the real answer is that if any of these girls had real guidance and role models for "success" (school, college/career, savings, etc), they probably wouldn't have ended up pregnant at 16.

The most frustrating part of the show for me is that these people now have money and could go to any one of a number of colleges and focus on school without having to take some crappy part-time job just to get by. Do you think C&T would have fared better without the MTV money? College is probably "easier" to get through when the alternative is doing your crap-job full time.

I usually watch this show and shake my head at ALL of the characters...one dumb decision after another. However, I just watched the Caitlyn and Tyler wedding episode and found it quite touching. I think I cried three times. One takeaway - they both grew up in families that made many poor choices and did a lousy job providing stable homes for their children, but I see a lot of love in those families. I'm glad Tyler and Cait had that happy day. They did deserve it. And, although I disagree with many things they do and say about their relationship with Carly, I was glad she was there on that day. Brendan and Theresa have their hands full being part of this story - I bet they never knew what they were signing up for.

Farrah is just too hard to watch. What a mess. Her family depresses me. She doesn't know how to act - it's really disgusting. Everything that comes out of her mouth makes her look stupider and stupider. She is the dictionary definition of a bitch.

I was waiting....what does Matt do?? What do they do on a daily basis? It's weird!

Most kids will cuss at some time. I wouldn't be worried about that as much as everything else. The way she will likely treat people, especially people you are supposed to show love to (grandparents, hello!). I feel so bad for her. She is being taught to hate her own family by her mother. Does her mother not understand how important family is? It's hard to watch.

Me too!

and the short speech by the sister, horrible! Did they cut it? She introduced her parents and then pretty much ended it. This is a wedding not a weird family intervention reunion combo. I felt like we didn't hear the whole thing.

So, what IS the actual deal with Farrah and her mom? Obviously mom did something to make her so... the way she is.

There are theories on IMDB (multiple threads) about this topic.

The reality is Farrah needs professional help, and one session with her former therapist (which was shown on Monday's episode) won't do it.

I agree. I think the mom is really messed up but does her best to hide it when the cameras are on. In the early episodes I think it's more obvious that she's trying to get Farrah riled up so Farrah will act out and the mom will look like the sane and reasonable one. Farrah's mom is completely incapable of empathy. She whines and plays the victim and I'm sure she was that way for Farrah's entire life. Now she has "borrowed" money from Farrah for her plastic surgery - that's gross. It seems like Farrah is to some degree supporting both of her parents. The fact that they would take from her when they didn't seem to be having financial problems before the show really bothers me.

I always get him mixed up with Adam (Chelsea's ex) on Teen Mom 2! They kind of look alike and have the same attitude problems--birds of a feather! The years have not been kind to either of them.
