UPDATE:
DOR, AMH .4, FSH 8 (in 2015) IVF #1 - 35 years old 2015 - 3 follicles found - cancelled cycle due to early ovulation IVF #2 - 36 years old 2016 - (estrogen priming along with 300 Gonal/75 Menopur) - 12 retrieved 8 mature 8 fertilized with ICSI. Transferred two 3 day embryos (7 cell and 10 cell) - BFP singleton girl (7 months old) - NOTHING to freeze the other six all arrested after day 3. IVF #3 27 years old - 2017. FREEZE ALL (RE refused to retest my AMH because, "we know it's low") same protocol as IVF#2 but I didn't take any supplements or change diet. 9 retrieved, 6 mature, 4 fertilized. All four frozen on day 3 with 8 cells and less than 15% frag. |
37 y.o. Retrieved 15 eggs. Only 1 got fertilized. Dr. said "no chance." Got pregnant with my little princess Ladies, Miracles happen. Good luck!

IVF at 35yo with undetermined infertility:
- 26 eggs retrieved - 21 mature - 15 fertilized - 8 frozen (elevated hormones so none were transferred fresh) - FET cycle #1 - transferred 1, BFP, successful birth - FET cycle #2 - transferred 1, BFP, 27 weeks pregnant at the moment |
I, too, was surprised to see so many couples of all ages at the fertility clinic. Many women have issues unrelated to age. It's good that these women seek help early on before age becomes another hurdle. |
| i had my egg collection today, 24 eggs retrieved 18 matured , since my husband has morphology issue so they are trying to fertilise 9 egg with his sperm and 9 with donor |
| ER today; they retrieved 23. I'm 42. |
| Had a chemical with PGS tested perfect graded blasts. IVF#3. SGF. Noticed inflamed tonsils and cold during short BFP. Any relations connecting to the chemical? Also have PCOS, so high no. of eggs at retrieval, but low rate of fertilization with ICSI. This time, had 1 to transfer none to freeze. Thoughts? Protocols that help egg quality over quantity? I am susceptible to OHSS, so, doc used Lupron to control OHSS risks. |

13 have made it to day 3; 11 of those are grade 1, between 7-12 cells. |
I'm so sorry to hear this. That's my biggest fear, as PGS is the only reason we are doing IVF. Allegedly Lupron suppression helps with quality over quantity; that was not the case for me. It also used an HCG trigger, which made me feel horrible for 2+ weeks after retrieval. Have you considered getting a second opinion? I really love GW, fwiw. I'm 42 and just did my 4th round; 3 have been estrogen priming protocol. (I posted above about my results so far.) Good luck. |
