Ah, I see. So when the Union wants me to fill out a survey or send emails or something else to advance its agenda, I’m supposed to do that. But I’m not important enough to see the stupid arbitration decision? Got it.

Btw, the union filed the grievance on behalf of all BU members, not just dues paying members.

Just join the union bro.

Sure, so they can use my dues to negotiate a CBA that’s not worth the paper it’s printed on? I have better uses for my money — like using it for toilet paper.

Somebody really has their panties in a bunch, don’t they? The hearts and minds of people like you will never be won over so why try? You are probably the 30 minute lunch defrauder marauder.

Keep telling yourself this as you commute for two hours a day. Tape the CBA to your windshield for good luck, while you pay your dues. Sucker.

Why so much fighting? Union member or not, this Chairman doesn’t like you! He doesn’t want you to telework. He doesn’t care about your family or other commitments. He is certain you are overpaid. He wants us all to turn on each other while he puts on his fake smile.

What PA is going to do is to offer 1 TW day per week to the Union and offer not to appeal the arbitrator’s decision. That’s all we are all going to get. Now to back to work, overpaid peasants.

This is spot on. Union will not agree to just one day. Problem for Paul is his Division Directors want to allow regular telework because those Directors are actually trying to get work done. And they recognize how many people are leaving and how low morale is. As a bunch, the Division Directors are good folks with common sense. Oh, and they themselves want to telework. So he can say no but he alienates his Division Directors in the process. Staff won’t ever like him but he has everyone rooting for him to fail.

Agree with all this. Also, the other two commissioners (while I don’t agree with them on most things) do not hate the staff and don’t mind telework. PA is the only one standing between staff and telework at this point.

I would be thrilled with two days and would be fine with that in the next agreement as well.

You’re pretty naive. He can’t wipe his own butt without RV’s permission, so not sure why you’re blaming him. If he gets out of line or defies opm/OMB policy (even on a minor HR issue), he’d be gone. If you haven’t noticed, they don’t like disloyalty or obstinance.

Nah. He’s got much more leash than others. It would be next to impossible to find another chairman at this point. And they’ve already lost so much time. Trump wants crypto done and he needs the SEC for that b

It’s a shame. The whole clamp down on TW was not intended for professionals like at the sec. Everyone knows who it was meant for. Too bad they couldn’t be more surgical about it.

They were in Trump 1. It was clearly an intentional choice.

It was intended for everyone to get people to quit across the government. Was that stupid for a place like the SEC? Yes. But it was the intention. Who do you think works at other agencies? Federal government is mostly your so called professionals.

If PA thinks staff is overpaid, I assume that the pay increase in April will be no grater than 1 pct? Not 1.1, not 1.5, not 2? We’ll see.

I think you are spot on that it will be next to impossible to find someone else to lead this agency. Based on how long it took PA to find directors for his divisions (and he couldn’t event find anyone competent for exams, so he settled on a Gensler holdover who is not qualified at all), I don’t think there’s a chance Trump can find someone else.

They have wasted a lot of time. Too much. Nothing meaningful will get done. Take it to the bank. Or Kalshi.

The obsession with RTO is a psychological disorder. So much time and money wasted on something so stupid and inconsequential. Who gives AF where the work gets done???
