all these teams either play kickball, rely on one or two big athletic kids to beat everyone, or just plain lose. Poor midfield play is the hallmark of top girls teams in the DMV |
Thanks tiki taka soccer dad. |
| What is your club doing for 14s born after 8/1? Allowing to play up or playing u12 again? |
The top girls will be able to play up. |
| Because not everyone is already on or can make a top team, what are the ECNL-RL and GA Aspire teams to look into for U13? Which teams have the best coaches at that level? |
Coaches havent been announced for RL and Aspire so no one knows yet. |
So everyone figured it out for last spring and then forgot how to stop it for the following fall season? |
But of course every parent will think their kid is a top player. It’s going to get messy. But ultimately, either the kid threatening to leave will decide to stay at play at the new grouping or they won’t. It’s that simple. I think the clubs have more power. They can allow everyone to attend an ID session and then simply not select your kid. |
SYC has a few Q4 coming down for u13 to play again. Will be tough to make that team. But they could increase the roster. |
Agree, All parents whose kids play up think their kids are the best. Clubs need to hold their ground and stop this. Just go by the rules. I’m sure Q4 kids from 2013 playing down will not have a problem. Don’t let these play-up parents intimidate you. If every club honors the same rule, they’ll have nowhere to go. It will save everyone a headache. |
There is no chance Coach Daddy sticks to these rules. I dont know how parents let their kids play in that situation. |
The U13 GA or Aspire team? Or both? |
Both. |
Most teams will have 2-3 players as Q4. Probably slightly higher as you get to B and C teams. This is how statistics work. |
I can’t believe this is going on. I didn’t believe it until I looked it up myself. |
