It looks like their admins are working overtime because I guess they decided to move up to Feb 1 after all.

The 2013s were mostly McLean, right? They were a group of girls that were already good and had played together already. 2014 FVU seems like it will be a mix of a few girls from many different teams coming together for the first time. It could work.

2012s are working for now. There is no future with FVU. It takes good coaching in the older age groups and not just good individual players.

Define “working”. They dominated last fall but everyone figured out the kickball in the spring. Having a solid year but it rests on kickball.

all these teams either play kickball, rely on one or two big athletic kids to beat everyone, or just plain lose. Poor midfield play is the hallmark of top girls teams in the DMV

Because not everyone is already on or can make a top team, what are the ECNL-RL and GA Aspire teams to look into for U13? Which teams have the best coaches at that level?

Coaches havent been announced for RL and Aspire so no one knows yet.

So everyone figured it out for last spring and then forgot how to stop it for the following fall season?

Just tell them you need a bit more time to decide. Clubs don’t pull offers.

You are going to run into an issue with the snow storm. Tryouts will be delayed a few weeks.

This is my worry. Won't be able to check out other clubs with the snow.
DD was invited out for an ID session a couple weeks ago at McLean, but we haven't received any feedback yet.

If the coach didn’t ask to talk to you after then not promising. That 2014 team is pretty much set. While I’m sure the SYC Aspire team will be competitive, I am not sure you are buying much by asking for more time. It stinks, but you kind of set yourself up for this situation. Personally, I would just mentally prepare for other teams. FVU might be the best option to make a first team if that is the goal otherwise RL tryouts are in March and there should be some competitive teams looking for backfilling players that go to ECNL or elsewhere.

There is no chance Coach Daddy sticks to these rules. I dont know how parents let their kids play in that situation.

Both.

Most teams will have 2-3 players as Q4. Probably slightly higher as you get to B and C teams. This is how statistics work.
