Harvard tell Trump to pound sand

Leaving the Jew hatred aside, Harvard has a state tax exemption, going back to a grant from the King of England. They use this to run ordinary businesses like hotels.

Bob Jones university lost its tax exempt status in the 1970’s for expelling students due to their race. They had an interracial dating ban. This is not remotely comparable and they are targeting the university for ideological reasons. The government is now threatening to ban foreign students entirely by not issuing Harvard student visas, which is completely illegal. There is literally no authority for the government to categorically ban foreign students from attending school because the government doesn't like them.

Fail to see how this plan is going to result in anything positive for anyone, especially in the long-term.

Faculty, PIs, STEM, humanities … usually among the most tolerant individuals in our society, these people are beginning to ask really tough questions about government interference in academia and research that’s being driven by, of all things, questionable foreign policy priorities.

Are these all the hypocritical liberals that were calling us racists so they could score political points. Isn't that sort of evil? All the Democrats on here applauding Harvard, don't even know what integrity is.

I don't agree with many of the things Harvard has done over the past few years, but people need to realize how dangerous this situation is. The government cannot start targeting universities with ideological purity tests. This is eerily similar to what happened during the cultural revolution in China. It will take decades for out universities to recover if we go down this path.

It’s AWFUL and now they are coming for k-12
I am desperate to leave this country. Every single day this administration does something terrifying that makes me both furious and scared. Literally cannot go on living like this. And before any maga losers say go ahead - I’m not saying this to score political points or bc I think me leaving matters.

But that’s objectively horribly horribly dangerous for democracy.
I’m a Jew but pro Palestinian speech is fine by me.
Trump needs to go fight a battle for people who want it fought for them
Where are the Jews standing up and staying not in my name? Enough already!

Targeting universities like this will also be detrimental to the US economy. There are 1.1M foreign university students in the US and they each spend around 40k per year on average. If we lose 25% of these foreign students, 95,000 Americans will lose their jobs.

Unfortunately, I think there are many Jewish Americans cheering all of this on with the belief that the propaganda regarding anti-semitism on campuses was accurate, and a false sense of confidence that these unconstitutional actions won’t result in something very, very bad in the long run.

Harvard started it shubbing woke/ DEI BS down our throats for mote than a decade and now it's time to find out as in FAFO.

Besides, we really need to shift all federal money from these entitled schools to public universities.

The money won’t be shifted to public universities. Those research grants were already cut. It will only go to the welfare for the wealthy.

That's like saying Obama was Kenyan so his rich family probably owned slaves: https://asseenfromthesidecar.org/blog/2018/03/02/188800-people-living-slavery-kenya-thats-just-part-problem/

Maybe racism isn't so important after all White Americans were some of the first to ban the practice. Gosh those poor white Americans from Illinois and Ohio.

That’s the problem with the person you are responding to - full of vengeance and ignorance. Bad combo.
