Everyone should write the Board with their concerns and demand that parent meeting.

They announced a meeting on the 4/23 to elect a new board member, that is open to the public.

That is a special election, not the parent meeting they stated will occur.

I am a current GFR parent and we are sad to see ML and NM go. But EVERYONE (and I mean EVERYONE) has been super happy and pleased with HM, so whatever disgusting troll is trying to destroy the man's reputation, you can go pound sand. Not one GFR parent I have talked to has a negative thing to say about him. He stepped up and into a situation that he did not ask for but has done superbly. So Mclean troll... if your program is falling apart try a better strategy than hopping on blogs to pretend to be disgruntled GFR parents trashing the new coach that we all like. Current GFR parent here. We are all upset that ML and NM were let go, but EVERYONE (and I mean everyone) is very happy that we got HM to step up for us when we needed. The trolls on here trying to trash his reputation are most likely McLean coaches that have NOT been able to fill their rosters (yes McLean we know the rumors are true). McLean wants to talk about losing NM and ML, but McLean over the years has lost NM, ML, DB and now CW. What's left? Try a better strategy (like building back your failing program) instead of trolling on blogs hoping to pick off some scraps.

That's because they have no idea what they are doing. None of them have ever run a soccer club, and they have no clue the damage they have done by replacing coaches like NM with HM!!! Our daughter stayed with GFR ONLY b/c NM was going to be her coach again next year. He completely turned around our team and now they are trying to slide HM into his place and that is completely unacceptable. We are trying to be patient and not run for the hills but this was done SO poorly by this board. Their responses to individuals on our team show they have no competence. They should all be forced to explain what they're doing and forced to resign after this. Even with the communications about RS there has been nothing about NM and his crew.

So will HM be coaching now, which teams? That will be interesting …

Coaching slates for next year still haven't been released but he's been slid in as the head coach for 14 and 13G Blue teams after NM was let go.

We all KNOW, HM is full of shit!! This will be interesting.

Imagine how the parents and kids feel, some giving up opportunities to play GA at McLean to come back to GFR for NM and now being told HM is our coach. It's infuriating!! Talk about a downgrade....

Nice try but actually a GFR parent, there were several girls offered GA spots on McLean who turned them down to stay with GFR under the impression NM was the coach.

Well, this is good to know if it's true for 13/14's b/c if NM doesn't get put back with this team good chance McLean will get a lot of these players....

Why would that happen? Who does McLean offer that is a considered an equivalent to NM? CW is gone.

Is that the bar? Or is the calculation anyone is better than HM?

Current GFR parent here. We are all upset that ML and NM were let go, but EVERYONE (and I mean everyone) is very happy that we got HM to step up for us when we needed. The trolls on here trying to trash his reputation are most likely McLean coaches that have NOT been able to fill their rosters (yes McLean we know the rumors are true). McLean wants to talk about losing NM and ML, but McLean over the years has lost NM, ML, DB and now CW. What's left? Try a better strategy (like building back your failing program) instead of trolling on blogs hoping to pick off some scraps.

Ok, so let me see if I understand this. Several girls from GFR went and tried out for McLean's GA team while NM was their coach at GFR. But then they decided to stay at GFR because NM was going to be their coach at GFR. But now they are sad and mad because NM was let go and they turned down the offers for they got for McLean GA they got when NM was their coach. Hmmmm... this doesn't sound made up at all.
