Yes. But it is sold as WaPo endorses X. It is not reported as a group of opinion writers employed by the WaPo to write about their thoughts and feelings took a vote and a majority prefer this person win this election. |
| In light of the election results, this thread seems a little dumb now, eh? I mean, :If only the Wa Po endorsed Harris, she would have won." Right? |
Exactly. Just goes to show how ridiculous liberals have become. They spent the last few months yelling at anyone who gave them information they did not like. Yelling at pollsters. Yelling at newspaper editorial boards. Yelling at the world. Instead of actually engaging the public. Folks need to stop throwing tantrums because other people do not agree with them and grow up. |
It's not that the endorsement would change anything. It's that Bezos is a chickenshit and kissing the ring of our new dictator. He shouldn't own the WaPo if he can't handle conflicts of interest. |
| Nope, it was still unprincipled and cowardly of Bezos to override the journalists to suck up to trump. No one thought the endorsement would change the outcome. |
LOL that you do not know what editorial pages are literally for. |
Literally no one thought that Trump voters would be swayed by a WaPo endorsement. You’ve missed the entire point but I guess I’m not surprised |
| I hope all the liberals cancel their Post subscriptions in protest and sink this liberal-biased newspaper. That will show Jeff Bezos not to invest his money in newspapers that are a lost cause. |
| It doesn’t matter whether it would have impacted the election result. It was wrong because the owner of a newspaper allowed a politician to silence his editorial board. It’s the harbinger of things to come. |
They won't learn. At the root of all f this is ego and stubburness. They refuse to concede on anything. So, instead, they lose. LOL. |
+1 like it or not this is exactly how it’s presented. The Washington Post endorsed X candidate! Same with any major newspaper. It’s great when it’s for your candidate, not great when it’s not for your candidate of choice. |
What do you care bot? It’s not like you read the papers in the first place. |
Prove it. Quote the actual Washington Post. In reality the endorsement comes from the “Washington Post Editorial Board” and it says exactly that every single time. |
|
Alexandra Petri had the guts. I kept my subscription.
Opinion It has fallen to me, the humor columnist, to endorse Harris for president. Isn’t this what a newspaper is supposed to do? https://www.washingtonpost.com/opinions/2024/10/26/washington-post-endorses-kamala-harris-satire/ |
| I can finally starts subscribing to WaPo. Newspaper should not endorse any party. By endorsing one party, it inevitably risks becoming that party’s propaganda machine. |
