Let's not create ridiculous rumors because of the result of one weekend's worth of play.

I can only speak to the VDA 07/06. They had a ton of girls come down from 06 plus a few high level FCV girls. Great team and they should easily win the conference.

06/07 game was much more lopsided than the score showed.

No it wasnt. NVA had numerous shots on goal and looked like the better team in the second half. VDA is a great team and they could have scored more. Game could have easily gone a few different directions. Thats soccer! On to the next

The NVA goalie kept that game close. She had 7 or 8 really good saves. NVA had a few good chances and should have scored once or twice. Game could've easily been 6-2 VDA.

That goalie (NVA) keeps just about every game close. My DD has played against her a few times and says she is the best GK she has faced.

Not really. They barely qualified for playoffs and then wished they didn't after going 1-2 in Seattle.

So, what is up with NVA? Off year? Coaching? Player turnover to other DMV clubs?

To say RU isn't a strong club is a bit disingenuous. Their 08 and 09 group has had some success. 09s made it out of the round of 16 two straight years and to the final 4 in 2023. Went 1-1-1 last year in playoffs.

Former coach played former team this past weekend...

My DD plays for another age group at NVA, and I know the 2009s have dealt with injuries this year. Not all can be blamed on PL but I think they are underachieving compared to the talent level on the team. They also probably overachieved last year.
