Loudoun has a very strong girl teams

Not that I agree with those rankings especially because little girls teams are not a part of this discussion, but Arlington and Loudoun typically have strong teams at the younger ages due to the large size of their player pools. It gets interesting once the teams age up.

Other than 2011, what does Arlington have? NVA 2011’s and 2010’s aren’t strong. Both clubs become average at best for the ECNL years. And now NVA has Revolution and FCV in their backyard.

Arlington s next best finish was 2005/2006 at 6th then 2009 at 8th.

Those two clubs have/had virtual monopolies for years and not done much with it. If a super club were to form in Nova, Union would seem to have the inside track with its recent history of successful college placement, central location and access to fields from three different clubs.

As fun as it is to predict how everyone will do for the 11s a lot depends on how NC Courage and Richmond do.They underperformed significantly looking at goal differential last year.If they do well and Beach is also in the mix the local teams other than Arlington are looking at 5th-7th at best.

My prediction for the 11s that we will see the top players from NVA and FVU 11s go to Arlington for next year to play champions league.

I could see this ⬆️ too. Top players will tryout at Arlington. The question is how many have skills that would make the team as a starter? Bench players at every club will do musical chairs trying to get more playing time.

2011 Arlington is the only age group that's better than NVA. All other age groups are below NVA, especially the 2009's and 2012's

Super club????? Where does this thinking come from? This will never happen -- not in ECNL's interest and not in club's interest. Most importantly it is not in the kid's interest. Union has great college results, as does NVA, VDA and Arlington.

it won't ever happen because there is money to be made, supply is matching demand. Right now there is so many clubs because the demand is high (not necessarily the talent) with families willing to pay

It’s in the interest of the soccer directors. Nothing keeps them employed like the promise of a shiny new object.

Superclub as in the one club that becomes dominant over the others and where top players gravitates to. Happens in most areas.

no it's not.

If it’s not happening then why did we announce one of our players “committing to the application process” at UMW?”

Do players from other clubs commit to applying for college? I’ll wait …
