+1 It was all handled so very poorly by the judges.

Even the resolution has been handled poorly. The bronze should be shared. Its what Romanian has called for as well. This isn't on the girls or even the coaches.

PP here. Absolutely yes. And, frankly, if someone has been told he/she won, then the award should not be taken away -- but shared if a mistake were made.

I am disgusted with the Romanians right now. Instead of the very valid argument they had for their one gymnast, they tore down the US to get what they wanted with this bs 4 second nonsense.

They fought nasty. Remember, our ladies are the FAAFO team. Do NOT come for them.

Nobody was told they won. The gymanst saw the score flash and started celebrating. Everyone knows what the rules are before the competition. They didn’t just find out you could file an inquiry to review a score. It happens.

What an empty victory. You know you got the lower score but you take the medal? She will never feel proud of it so what’s the point.

Romanian girl. Because she obviously got the lower score.

Jordan did a higher-difficulty skill that was not counted properly. She should be rewarded properly for the skills she performed. After the judge’s mistake became evident, she was awarded properly with the bronze medal.

The US T&F team is gorgeous. And, of course, awesome!

Track and Field has been my favorite. And they are easy on the eyes- Sydney, Gabby, Rai!

What’s ridiculous is every other gymnast has 4 minutes to file an inquiry, but since Jordan went last, she only had 1 minute, and they missed that deadline by 4 seconds.

I would inquire about the time. Who clocked that official inquiry time request and how did they do it?

Who would even want to win the bronze on such a stupid technicality? You didn’t win the medal, you found some ridiculous rule.

How do we know it didn’t take 4 seconds to note the time?

Yeah, this is crap - the judges accepted her request at the time. But NOW it was 4 seconds over time?

And I was unaware that everyone else has 4 minutes. That is ridiculous

What an absolute s-show.

Well, she will never get that moment back. No podium, no medal ceremony, no photographs, if she ends up with a medal she will probably not feel great about it, which seems fitting.
