Illinois is still a welcoming state, but it doesn't want migrants from Latin America to come to freezing Chicago in the winter where they could die because they don't have warm clothing, and Chicago doesn't have warm places for them to sleep. |
You are sick. |
Where do the good people of Illinois think the migrants should go? Just stay in Texas and southern states? |
PP here. +1. Those of us who support these children by working in public schools are fully aware of the provided services. |
Simple people (you) want simple solutions to complex problems (immigration). This problem (too many immigrants at the US Southern Border) has so many causes, including US sanctions that have devastated governments in Latin America. When people are starving or facing certain death in their country, they will do ANYTHING to survive. The US needs to address the problem at its root: South and Central America, from whence these migrants come. If the US worked a little harder to address economic problems in the countries like Venezuela where many of the migrants at the US border originate, the migrant problem would lessen. Further, the GOP needs to stop blocking immigration reform. There are thousands of jobs in the US currently filled by immigrants without documentation, and many more low-paid jobs go unfilled because employers can't find Americans to take them. The US needs to allow more workers into this country to work legally. It needs to provide a path to citizenship to children who came here without documentation through no fault of their own. It needs to completely change the immigration laws, hire more judges and create more immigration courts, and streamline the immigration process, which is as convoluted and crazy as the tax code, even moreso. Shutting the border is an impossible task. You can't close a gigantic border, nor can you "build a wall" which is the dumbest idea ever, but it appeals to the suckers who want simple solutions to complex problems. There is much more to be done to address the immigration problem, but letting starving, desperate migrants build up at the southern border won't solve the problem. Many things must be done, starting with updating the immigration laws to reflect the realities of 2024, and sending economic aid to South and Central American countries whose people are starving. |
How about we stop letting them in for now and then we’ll work on all of that, ok? |
LOL! you'd turn your back on a fellow American in a heartbeat I bet ya. |
Don't project your own sociopathic behavior on others. |
DP. I refer you to 23:22. It's clear who the delusional, senseless moron is ^^. |
Of course he can, you dope. Biden has signed more EOs than any other president except FDR - he can certainly sign one now regarding border control. |
You can't be serious. Illegal immigrants are indeed given food, shelter, clothing, education, and healthcare while in "detention" at the border. Once released into the U.S., they do have to come up with their own rent and food, but there are plenty of nonprofits aiding them with this. As for healthcare - NO illegal immigrants aren't "billed for medical treatment" - what an absolutely ridiculous claim. Even if they were handed a bill, they do not have to pay it. Surely you know this undisputed fact. As for education, of course U.S. citizens are given a free education. Illegal immigrants are NOT U.S. citizens, yet they are still provided with free education - on the taxpayers' dime. Talk about oblivious - not to mention blatant gaslighting... |
+1000 Amazing that you have the energy to converse with idiot gaslighters. |
No, silly! The PP tells us that these illegal immigrants are totally paying their own way! ![]() ![]() |
Then you write the checks. |
Texas has many, many more migrants and it is FREEEZING tonight in Texas. Thousands are crossing EVERY DAY in Texas. Where is Texas supposed to put them? The low tonight on the border at Laredo, Texas is 24 degrees! The low in Eagle Pass Texas is 22 degrees. The low in Houston is 23 degrees. The low in Dallas is 16 degrees! How do you not understand it can freeze in Texas too! |
