DC Public and Public Charter Schools
| Please stop replying to the troll. At first it seemed an Eskay apologist. It is now clear this is someone amusing themselves by getting a rise out of everyone. Stop replying to him and he will (eventually) go away. |
Well, maybe some people are thinking about this logically instead of from an emotional standpoint? Why does someone who holds a different opinion from the majority have to be a troll? I thought that purpose of having a forum like this was for open and honest discourse. |
| Just because someone disagrees with someone else’s opinion on the matter, doesn’t mean that their thoughts should be censored. You really shouldn’t expect everyone to have the same opinion on every single topic. It just doesn’t happen. |
| This whole thing is reminding me of "The Crucible". |
| I pray to God that Mr. Eskay gets to continue leading our school. I’m a teacher at Eaton and I enjoy working with Principal Eskay. |
Why did you sign the petition to remove him then? |
I agree! I hope that our colleagues who orchestrated this campaign are subjected to progressive discipline by LMER. They have corrupted the community with blatant lies. |
The teachers who created the petition bullied and manipulated the rest of the staff. I didn’t realize what they were doing at the time but I fully comprehend it now. |
| It’s quite evident that this whole situation is due to 1-3 teachers at the school who received a bad evaluation and decided to punish the principal. There have been at least 5 or more teachers from Eaton who have posted their support for Principal Eskay on this forum. DCPS needs to ignore this “issue” so that Principal Eskay can prepare the community for next school year. It’s truly amazing and shocking how low some folks will go due to a bad performance evaluation. |
You took the words right out of my mouth. The persecution of Principal Eskay will definitely make it difficult for DCPS to attract high quality talent when principal vacancies arise. Potential candidates will look at DCPS and label the teachers as troublemakers. |
| It is quite evident that there's some intense sock-puppeting going on here. |
| It’s quite evident that DCPS talks out of both sides of their mouth. They were quite swift in removing Errol Johnson, a black man, from his position at Hardy MS. However, here we have a white man who has created a hostile work environment for all staff in his school and he hasn’t been terminated yet. Make it make sense. Oh yeah, Errol Johnson wasn’t the right complexion to have his position saved. |
Exactly. Sah Brown, Dr. McCray, Danielle Singh, and Calvin Hooks better be careful up at those WOTP schools. They saw what happened to Errol Johnson and they will be next to be terminated. There are clearly different standards as to what is acceptable for white principals compared to black principals. |
| There is no way any of those posters are actual teachers at Eaton. I am a teacher at Eaton and none of us were bullied or coerced. We were all horrified when the allegations came out, and didn’t realize it was so widespread. |
Please speak for yourself. I was bullied into signing. |
