I don't buy the Secret Service conspiracy theory. For one thing, unlike former presidents, former VPs only get 6 months of protection after they leave office. Biden didn't decide to run for president until the Charlottesville riots (August 2017) at which point he no longer had Secret Service protection. So during the time the agents were in Biden's house there would have been no reason to sabotage him.

So the earliest the documents could have gotten into the house would be 2020 once candidate Biden received protection. But these were Obama administration documents. So somebody in the Secret Service prevented these documents from going to the Archives, held on to them for years, and then planted them? It just doesn't make sense.

I think the system seriously needs to be updated, especially if papers are just freely floating around. The NA didn't even know they were missing these until it was turned in.

I still stand though that refusing to turn the papers that you were asked for over a year vs stumbling across some and voluntarily handing them back in are two very different ways of dealing with it.

Trump stole classified nuclear documents to sell them to Russia, Israel and Saudi Arabia. No one planted them. Trump stole them, for personal enrichment to sell them to our enemies. He should be convicted of treason and dealt with as the Rosenbergs were dealt with.

Storing classified in your garage is something that would normally lead to the revocation of a security clearance.

Both men mishandled classified. Neither should be killed for it, since mishandling the documents does not make them spies.

The other thing to consider...... Biden will never just step down. The standard is that you don't indict a sitting president. So, he is "safe" as long as he is where he is.
He probably should be impeached. But, then, there is the issue of Kamala.

The GOP has stated they'll impeach him for SOMETHING at some point. That process means nothing anymore. You could impeach him 5 times over and it means nothing.

So then you agree - the impeachments of Trump meant nothing at all, as the Democrats were determined to impeach him for SOMETHING. I agree.
