Its a new program based about 20 miles north of Richmond. (so really not NoVa). But they have the former W&M coach involved. My daughter went to one of their clinics and said it was one of the best clinics she had ever been to. (She plays on Pride and has been to clinics at all of the local clubs)

They don't have the talent yet, but could see them displacing YJS as top Richmond team and maybe even getting some NoVa girls before long.

Old Cardinal (great program) became PP Cardinal are died a slow death. We’re they sold off again or taken behind the barn and old yellered?
Capital is still going strong.
Cav was sold to Pride.
Stars is St. James, right?
Metro was sold to 3D.
True is in Alexandria but seems to be having trouble getting going strong.
Yellow Jackets mid Atlantic.
Madlax.

Who else in the VA/ NoVa area?

I believe Pride is the only local club (Nova) not owned by a private equity firm. The rest are corporate.

Isn't Pride owned by Ultimate now?

Outside of Pride and Stars, the rest of those clubs/teams are really just expensive rec programs.

Yes, Pride is owned by Katie McMahon. I know she takes a lot of flak on this site, but personally I think she is a great business person, and great coach. A lot of the shade is thrown at her by the aforementioned toxic parents who will never be satisfied until little Chloe or Maddie is a first team all American, which is never gonna happen.

I would agree with this statement.

Hard to say who owns whom. But as shown on other threads it appears Ultimate and Pride are both owned by KM.

How bad are some of these NGLL refs? Players are now getting to soccer level flopping, and purposely ducking heads to draw a YC. Refs really need to reign to crap in.

There was even one ref who when heard someone complain about three seconds said thats a basketball rule..

What a dumb comment, don’t complain about your kid’s teacher cause you aren’t a teacher yourself. Don’t criticize the truck driver unless you drive a truck yourself. Sorry, we all pay good money, NGLL should have refs educated on the rules and fields that are lined and safe.

Just like any other industry, unless there is a competitor, the league isn't going to spend money on high-end refs. That would reduce 3STEP Sports' profit. And because of the endless stream of Range Rover driving Dbag parents in this sport, few capable people are willing to enter reffing and put up with the abuse. To be fair, it's a problem in all youth sports, but club lax is the worst.

Let me go to your job stand outside your office and scream obscenities and threaten violence because you can't fill out a f-ng spreadsheet Karen..........

All the post on here about how the refs suck, and the leagues suck, the coaches suck - but time and time again its the actions from parents and coaches towards refs that are the most appalling.

Who in their right mind is going to spend there weekends for crap money to get yelled at by people who have never played, coach or reffed. Hell most of y'all can't jog the length of the field.

I love Lax and what it is offering my daughter - hype up the positive and try to be constructive about the negative.
