The Administration is basically trying to kill a blue city in a blue state. Schools are reverting to remote learning and others are simply leaving to their lake houses and whatnot.

Remember, this is a state where George Floyd happened and they tried with the insurrection act and martial law before. This is the state where the Governor ran for Vice President and said mean thing about Trump and Vance. This is a state where a MAGA assassinated democrat politicians and it barely raise an eyebrow.

I wouldn't accelerate my car with someone in front of me.

She was dead. A funny thing happens when a person dies, their brain no longer controls their body.

She wasn’t dead when she put her car into reverse and then into drive while an officer had an arm inside her car and one walking in front

Nor was she when she steered the car away from the one in front.

There was no away. He was too close
to her car for her to be able avoid him and move forward, regardless of trying to turn wheels. Which is why it was unsafe for all of them for her try and drive away at that very moment she did. She did it in haste and without thought because her partner shouted at her to
Drive

Then you agree, she wasn't trying to hit him, or use her car as a weapon.

Can somebody who shares the viewpoint and values of the woman and her wife answer this - how were they hoping that the interaction would end?

Probably not by being murdered by an unhinged professional government paid agitator.

What viewpoint, being a free American?

I bet this is going to go over real well in the midterms, if Americans are still allowed to vote by then.

That will be the end of ICE, either way.

People are still playing nice because they think that they can end this in November by voting. If they try to remove that then it will get ugly.

We need to demand that primary candidates commit to defunding ICE if they are elected to Congress.

Disappointed in Slotkin.

The public school kids are always punished by these goons. The whole situation is horrific. I wouldn’t be able to live with myself if I posted some of the garbage the trolls are dumping here.

We have to fight this legally, because a small minority of cruel people cannot be allowed to violate laws and murder us for existing.

It’s not surprising me at all. I’m used to being told that I need to kiss Romney’s ass for his impeachment vote, that Sasse was “a good guy” and not a criminal and an apologist, that Hawley and Mike Lee are just totally brilliant but have a couple of bad ideas, and that Chris Coons and other centrists were just trying to be persuaded.

As I see it, the majority of our elected leaders are weak and frightened. The squad, Mamdani, and Sanders have shown that you can win and be popular and call a fascist or an oligarch or a criminal what they are.

I'm sure they would have been okay with getting a ticket, maybe having to pay a fine. Maybe spend some time in jail. Those are the normal consequences for civil disobedience, not getting killed.

Not every person who enters the United States illegally does so to make a living. Some aliens cross the border to continue their lives of crime. Dangerous criminals and other individuals who pose a threat to public safety and the security of the United States are among U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement’s (ICE’s) highest priorities for arrest and removal.

Hardened criminals, such as drug cartel and violent gang members are not always cooperative when arrested, taken into custody and removed from the United States. That’s a situation for the elite special response teams (SRTs) from ICE’s Enforcement and Removal Operations (ERO) to handle. Members of ERO’s eight SRTs nationwide are trained to serve high-risk warrants under hazardous conditions, escort dangerous criminal aliens who have been ordered deported and assist local law enforcement agencies during critical incidents.

SRT members undergo a unique combination of specialized training and real-world experiences. The work of the SRT members is often grueling and so is the training they undergo at Ft. Benning, Georgia. SRT training lasts three weeks and includes several components. At a minimum, students must complete a 1.5 mile run in less than 12 minutes, drag a dummy for 25 yards, complete 30 pushups and scale over a six-foot wall in full tactical gear.

It's 3 whole weeks of calesthenics in order to serve warrants, "assist" local law enforcement officers and "escort" dangerous criminals.

They aren't being trained as proper law enforcement officers who act independently, with discretion, and to interact with the general population and deal with driving and parking violations.

These ICE SRTs need to be supervised at all times by someone with a little more sense of what it means to be a professional law enforcement official.

They were parked illegally. ICE had their licsense plate number and could have called it in to the police. They should have expected a ticket, a fine. Perhaps even to be arressted and accused of disordely conduct or something.

They should not have been attacked or had guns drawn on them. For what? Why were the agents so hysterical and out of control?
Screaming and yelling to get out of the car? Why should they do that? What crime were they committing that warranted such behavior?

Schumer and Jeffries also have to go.
