This is DC urban mom. Nobody cares about South Carolina surf.

DC Urban mom...lol. You talk about VA and MD on here, what's the difference? Those States are not DC.... Don't say it's all DMV...lived in VA, not the same...

DC, MD, and Northern VA ARE the same DMV, especially when it comes to area soccer clubs and movement from one club to another - all within an hour's drive. They're not hundreds of miles away in SC. If you really knew the area you'd know THAT.

Unless you’re an absolute top club from GA, ECNL won’t offer clubs a spot without going through the RL ranks. The entire incentive of being an RL club is to be promoted to NL. If they keep plucking clubs from other leagues and letting them “skip the line” then RL clubs will start to leave. ECNL latest podcast discussed this much.

Anything South of Frederickburg might as well be another state, go ahead and cede it all to N. Carolina we don't care about you on DCUM

There are 15 clubs in southeast and 10
In mid Atlantic. They will make southeast 16 and keep mid Atlantic at 10? Seems like moving the 3 SC teams to mid Atlantic to even out the conferences makes more sense

So Valor becoming FVU's 2nd team is not a crazy notion. FVU Claret 1st team FVU Grey aka Valor 2nd ECNL team.

No one is talking about if those 3 areas are in close proximity and if SC is 100s of miles away. The whole point of the comment was that teams joining and leaving ECNL/GA could cause a ripple in the DMV area...clueless, must be from MD

It does make more sense for that to happen. But parents were told they will be in the Southeast.

^^^facts^^^^ there are only. a few GA teams who could get the golden ticket directly to ECNL. I would say less than 10 and probably around 5.

not so sure that "quality" matters. It is all about perception and what makes these leagues look good

ECNl southeast has 16 teams already. It long time ECNL makes a florida conference like the boys. There are 8 clubs in Florida and as discussed on these pages, there are at least 2 solid clubs in Florida that they could add. Something is really fishy going on why they won't create a Florida conference. Why the heck does a team in Miami have to travel to Atlanta, South Carolina, Alabama and vice versa? just crazy

Where would the SC, GA, and AL
Clubs be distributed?

stay in the southeast. there are 16 clubs in southeast ECNL. 8 in florida and 8 located in AL, GA, SC.

dump the florida teams and take the following 8 teams from AL, GA, SC
UFA
concorde plat
concorde prem
GSA
Bama FC
CESNA
South Carolina United
GSA

add 2 Tenn teams, Tenn United and FC Alliance from the Ohio Valley Conference and you have a solid conference of 10.
