No one wants to answer that question..... |
I agree and it scared the shut out of me. |
This was my initial thought as well. I hope the police catch him/them before anyone else gets hurt. The suspects have nothing to lose at this point. |

Certainly!! Sandy hook destroyed me. |
Violence against children is horrific. |

"All during this rampant speculation, I have been hoping that the suspect would NOT be an African American male with dreadlocks, with a police record, from PG county. But, here we are again. So awful. There are a lot of fine, upstanding young AA men, their mothers, and fathers who must be sick about this today.
And, for whatever it's worth, I am a white, middle-aged woman with kids who went to the same schools as the Savopoulos children. If a white person commits murder, do you feel sick about it? No one wants to answer that question....." I gave a possible answer at the bottom of page 173... |
I'd agree that this seems like a very likely possibility. Especially based on the timeline of him being at the studio and then coming home in the evening, and the fact that the housekeeper was supposed to leave at 3pm ( but now we know that for some reason she was still there being held hostage). |
He thought the fire would destroy everything |
| Is it likely that there was some money already in the house and the 40K was a top up of some sort? i am finding it hard to believe that 2 or more people will torture 4 people for so long for just 40K ..how long will that last if split up? |
So I guess he is just a "bad seed" and this was just his destiny? This, jail or a mental institution? Sounds pretty hopeless to me. |
| It wasn't random everyone. He knew the father and worked for him. |
then you are crazy. I am white and I remember feeling sick about the Petit murders, a nice family who's life was turned upside down suddenly by a couple of thugs, beaten and sexually assaulted and then murdered even after the perps got the money, in way that was very very similar to what happened to the Sav. family. it's the type of violent, totally senseless murders that fuels the outrage and fear (can something like that happen to my family?), certainly not the color of the skin of the people who did it. ask Dr. Petit if he is relieved that his wife was raped and strangled by a white guy instead of a black guy. |
+1 I'm mixed (white & asian), and don't get it either. It's a hair style. So what? I think you have to be conditioned to see something wrong with having dreads, like like many are conditioned to only see violent crime as largely perpetrated by black men. What a crazy degree of historical ignorance. |
Exactly what I expected. It was pretty clear as details came out that we weren't dealing with a criminal with any kind of sophistication. I have no idea where the wild theories came from other than victim-blaming. |
