Meghan Markle and Prince Harry News and Updates

Rather than living in the shadow of William and eventually William’s children being told what they can and cannot do and dependent upon William and the crown to hand out their money they have moved on and are creating a name for themselves and their children. I think they are hypocrites and all over the place but it’s still smart and I don’t blame them.

I agree. I wish they were not so nasty to everyone and would visit grandmom (The Queen) more but something to be said about having your own life. I just hope she doesn’t dump him because he clearly loves her. I hope she loves him but something tells me she will dump him.

There's been a pandemic for since they made their move from the U.K. No one is visiting, especially transatlantically, to visit 90+ year olds.

MM is preg so that always makes for a fascinating talking point no matter who you are. The rest of the interview will be boring dribble about equality, peace and harmony, blah, blah, blah

I agree. Oprah's been quiet for so long, looks like she wants to get her name out there again and MM is the way to do it. And all of this is a huge publicity stunt. July miscarriage article while she was ALREADY pregnant (I believe I was one of the first to call that on this thread), then the pregnancy announcement on the SAME day as the Oprah announcement. Hm.... Either in between or during the Oprah interview, they're going to announce 1-2 more big deals.

It won't be. It's just a teaser. Nothing new is coming out of that interview that we don't already know. I'm SURE Meghan will find at least two opportunities to cry ith supportive, concerned Harry holding her hand and looking on.

(1) Racism
(2) Pressure to be the perfect royal

are my guesses.

I think that the racism within the royal family is definitely something that needs to be talked about. Not sure that I think they should be the ones to do it but they seem to be the only ones willing to do so.

I personally hope no one watches. Like the sound one hand clapping

People will be watching. I hope it’s millions just to piss people like you off.

Oh, I suspect this will be the most watched interview in Royal history. Aside from that - Meghan is always 10 steps ahead. The announcements will be epic and as usual - the British media will be incandescent with rage.

Hi, Rachel Meghan!

DP. Of course it will be huge.

1. The fact that people hate Meghan so much draws a lot of traffic. If you look at the daily mail online her stories draw the most engagement out of anything they put out. Hell, look at how many comments are on this thread!
2. Oprah has built a billion dollar empire from nothing on knowing what people will find interesting. So it’s a good bet someone will be watching.

I think that this interview is going to be even bigger than Diana's. People say that they don't care and won't watch...but they will. Especially the British media because the articles that they will write will generate enough money ensure that mortgages are paid for quite some time.

I don't think the queen needs you to worry or defend her. She and her entourage are perfectly capable to taking care of themselves.

I have zero affection towards the royal family, including Harry and Meghan. They are all parasites. However I detest the British tabloids so it is funny to see these two stick it to them.

-The Royals didn’t protect Meghan.
-The British press were relentless
-We were forced to leave to protect our family and our own mental health
-We quickly realized we could do more good (read: make more money) without being bound by Royal protocol
-Our miscarriage was devastating and we were in a dark place at the same time the press was bashing us/invading our privacy (read: not worshiping us)
-We were blessed (#blessed) to give Archie a sibling
-After a proper maternity leave (read: when I can sell the pics or release them for the launch of our rebrand), we will continue our important work to save the world

Lol. So true.
They are doing what all celebrities do. Get the $$$ M&H!

Don't be silly. They already have a name. That name is a sum total of why they are interesting to anyone - because on the face of their accomplishments, they wouldn't be. That's the crux of people's refusal to worship them - because they are transparent about their desire to monetize their ties to the Royal Family as they profess to want to be free of it.

I think an interview where Meghan talks about just how racist the BRF and their hangers-on are would be a public service.

np I won't be watching because I don't find them interesting at all. So much whining when there are real suffering. Did anyone catch the poor kids in Yemen who are being shot

I would not expect a story like above on the Entertainment and Pop Culture Forum.

+1

I would definitely watch that. Now another one about how dysfunctional they all (obviously) are or about the British media I will take a pass on. We will have to see what kind of sound bites precede the interview. Oprah is kind of a softball interviewer so I doubt it will really get into anything substantive.
