Meghan Markle and Prince Harry News and Updates

It irritates me the way they don’t quite say how they feel in any interview. It’s all very vague and we have to read between the lines. Either give a straight interview where you convey actual information or just go live your life ensconced in the privacy you so claim to desire.

So during this global pandemic that is killing millions worldwide and while scientists have been working overtime to produce a vaccine, while doctors and nurses and all other hospital staff have been working overtime trying to keep people alive, and while kids across the nation have had to sacrifice a normal childhood and education..

Meg and Harry have been moving across countries, pandering to paparazzi, doing numerous photo shoots, seeking sympathy by plagiarizing sad stories in newspapers, and giving vague interviews about how it's so difficult to be them.

I loathe the monarchy and applaud them leaving (though side eye keeping the titles), but they are really hard to like and fall into the celebrities that are irritating and annoying category.

Don't be silly. They already have a name. That name is a sum total of why they are interesting to anyone - because on the face of their accomplishments, they wouldn't be. That's the crux of people's refusal to worship them - because they are transparent about their desire to monetize their ties to the Royal Family as they profess to want to be free of it.

np I won't be watching because I don't find them interesting at all. So much whining when there are real suffering. Did anyone catch the poor kids in Yemen who are being shot

I would not expect a story like above on the Entertainment and Pop Culture Forum.

Right now it is on Recent topics, pp. Maybe more people should read the story and ignore the poor Meghan and Harry's woe is me act.

PS I also don't believe that was Archie wishing everyone a happy new year on their podcast. No 19 month old sounds that articulate! Right up there with North West's "painting"

I disagree. I think Meghan is the brains but Harry has shown he has a lot dedication to causes + knows how to build a strong network. He spent his 20s building 3 international non-profits; one of which is set to rival the Special Olympics in scale. He could have spent his 20s just falling in and out of clubs and doing nothing.

Harry picked Meghan for a reason. He wanted someone to help him get the eff out. Look at the pathetic lives of Margaret and frankly most of Charles siblings. Just a bunch of divorced sad sacks with no legacy of their own and dependent on their family’s largess. As soon as William had kids his interests and Harry’s became diametrically opposed due to the way the system is set up.

These are my thoughts as well. The only thing that has left a bad taste in my mouth is that they used so much tax payer money for their big, royal wedding. I think if they had been honest from the beginning (and had a smaller ceremony) of what they had planned for their future more people would be sympathetic. As it is, it just looks like they thought they could be huge stars and keep their royal titles without actually doing any of the royal-related work.

I bet Harry will eventually be a sad divorcee, too...Meghan does not know how to sustain family relationships (with the exception of her mother). She also basically took Harry as far away from his family as possible. Not just the US, but the West Coast. She has been keeping Archie from pretty much the entire family - again with the exception of her mother (since well before covid!!). He has cousins of a similar age, a grandfather, great-grandma...It strikes me as very cruel. And before we know it (well, a few years down the line), Meghan will be sick of Harry, and he will be far away from home in a foreign country in order to be able to stay close to his kids.

That big royal wedding brought in tons of tourism and $$$. That is basically why the UK keeps the BRF around- they help with the economy.

Um, Covid? If they had traveled to UK so family could see them, you would be complaining about them traveling during a pandemic.

Most celebrities realize it’s not a good look to complain or self-promote during a deadly global pandemic that has crippled the economy. For whatever reason, these two just don’t get it. Perhaps even worse, they seem to be intentionally capitalizing on the uncrowded media cycle to talk about their ongoing woes and promote themselves. It’s crass.

Their navel gazing is exhausting at best. Most times it’s irritating. Bigly.

Harry and Meghan need to take lessons from the great Dolly Parton. Talk about class! Dolly respectfully asked the TN legislature to pull a bill to honor her with a statue, noting how inappropriate it feels at a moment when the world is struggling with a pandemic.

She is awesome! This is why people around the world adore her.
