Say what you want about CM but he actually does an incredible job of announcing this. Fair and knowledgeable - love it.

I'll continue to say what I want about CM...that dude looks out for CM and ML, in that order and that is the entire list. He's made a ton of money off of unknowing kids and families, which makes him a good at running his business. But that doesn't make him a good person or good for the DMV lacrosse ecosystem.

So, the man is a full on lacrosse cancer. But he’s an easy target bc (1) my God what a tool, (2) my God what an extremely public tool, and (3) did I mention the tool part? Howevert, he is far from the only one responsible for dodge dodge shoot miss wide no backup culture around here.

Ha. The Maddox Era at EHS: club-team offense with lesser athletes that includes another of his tiny kids buying a place on the roster and losing to STA twice. Roaring start.

The first thing to do is get rid of this. 5 years of a task force telling you how evil your student body, parents, alumni and administration is not the way to success. https://www.episcopalhighschool.org/247-community/racism-understanding-and-belonging

I’d love to see how this wokey nonsense (and, oh yeah, fully concur, it’s total nonsense) connects with sucking at lax (tangent - wokey nonsense doesn’t seem to impact a good basketball program. Why, I wonder. Why???) but that likely involves reverse vampires and the Rand Corporation. Now, back to DMV prep school lacrosse, at which EHS sucks …

Go read Gonzaga and SJC DEI policies and then report back. What is wokey nonsense about admitting basic facts like racism exists? Being honest about the past leads to a better future. Go watch Spotlight. If lacrosse doesn't become more diverse it will continue to be played in large football venues that are 2% full.

I just read both. Both have a nice statement about dei, but neither have an ongoing task force for 5 years screaming about the past to punish the present. If lacrosse wanted to be more diverse, the orgs taking your money (USL, PLL, clubs and whoever) would devote more time and effort into securing field and practice space where there is a more diverse population like cities. Kids from DC aren't rolling out to Bullis and Nova for practice. Go talk to Breslin or Jones about their efforts. They are part of the few who can really speak to what is holding back the growth of the sport.

Last time I checked, this was a forum for discussing lacrosse. If you want to talk DEI ( didn’t earn it) go to the political forum or the daily kos, huff po or whatever site likes that dreck.

Says the clown using right-wing hot takes. Just let it go, already.

Note: I do agree with you, nonsensical political takes don't need to be in this forum, so let's all not contribute.

WCAC Better Conference top to bottom than IAC and the kids 💯 are much tougher. Stop trolling.

💯 IAC has one good team. The rest are weak.

Bullis. Makes sense.

Racism should never be “cured” with more racism. “My dad was a drunk, abuser, racist”…should the beginning of “so I will never be one of those things” not the more of the same by the next generation.

I forgot how tiny he is until I saw he recently. Makes you wonder about the lax of yore. Jim Brown was not the baseline for sure.

Same middle aged white snowflakes who whine about diversity also pick on innocent kids. Whatever you think of CM, leave his kid alone.

There's a better case to be made that DEI policies are for show at independent schools and have accomplished nothing more than they've hurt sports teams.

In the two schools cited EHS beat Landon two years ago - they haven't cratered athletically. SSSA is a real case study in boys sports falling apart, and that's a consequence of a variety of things, not wokeism. Could parents being turned off by school policies be a piece of that puzzle? Of course. Is that a complete picture? No.

There's a political forum on DCUM, take your red tinted tin foil conspiracies there, let's stick to lacrosse conspiracies like Speaks using tik tok to recruit IAC players here.

Cant speak to EHS but can to Saints. EVERY sport there is down except girls lacrosse - all Coach Jenkins. It is just most obvious on the boys lax side since they're three years removed from a state title and a top 20 national ranking. This drop was orchestrated by school admissions and leadership who prioritized full pay kids and arts/sciences applicants over athletics. There is a long line of great area lax kids who chose other schools over SSSAS simply because the school either wouldn't follow-up with them or couldn't be flexible on aid. For this, the former boys lax coach bears a lot of the blame, too. Sure, he won state three years ago but he did so with the former coach's talent and a big part of the ML '22 team. DEI didn't help, but the staffing issues and the school tuition are much more of the problem. So, while SSSAS has had a tough go this season, there is a positive. Coach Ince was a big loss for us at SJCHS especially on the offensive side of the field, but he will turn it around at Saints, if he can get some help from the school's leadership, alumni and admissions.

Yeah they can blame tiny pops for buying their way onto any field theyve ever been on with other club members' money for that, snowflake. So, no, they won't be left alone as long as they're very publicly stinking up the joint with their tiny selves, thanks to the mouse that roars that is CM.

Maddox just swiped half a mediocre richmond team to cover the bleed out from his revolving door of '28 team, I'm guessing to provide some cover for his tiny attacker. The little man does manage to sucker new folks every year, but praising that is like praising a fentanyl dealer for being able to move low quality product to addicts.

Ah, so it comes full circle back to DC private school lax. I'd expect some of those players to end up at EHS to build a wall around maddux jr jr. And EHS's Maddux Era will be in full swing - mid-grade athletes, low lax IQ, and his kids. Dodge dodge miss for 2026!
