As the world contemplates how seriously to take Donald Trump’s threats towards Iran, the White House has reiterated his demand that Tehran reach a deal within the next few hours, saying that only the US president knows how he will respond if Tehran fails to comply.

“The Iranian regime has until 8pm Eastern Time [00:00 GMT] to meet the moment and make a deal with the United States,” White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt has told several outlets including Al Jazeera and the Wall Street Journal.

Only the president knows where things stand and what he will do.

I don’t want them to say dementia. I just want them to report on true facts. They could run a headline that just reports the crazy stuff he says and readers could draw their own conclusions. But they only report like 1% of the insanity that flows from his mouth and they often clean up his quotes considerably.

Biden took himself off the ticket. Sure, lots of people were calling for it, but he had to find enough humility to bow out and unite the party by endorsing Harris. With Trump that's a lost cause.

He’s demented for sure but like one of my elderly relatives who has terrible social skills, he’s a lousy conversationalist and doesn’t know how to stay with the relevant topic at hand and ask othered questions about themselves. He kept mentioning Wayne Gretzky during his call with the Artemis astronauts. That was the only thing he could comment on to the Canadian astronaut. He’s not intelligent enough to go beyond sports figures. These astronauts are in the midst of doing something amazing, and very, very dangerous, and he keeps turning the conversation to a long ago retired hockey player.

If one of them were from New York I bet he would’ve gone on and on about Mickey Mantle.

The hypocrisy of people who clutched their pearls over Biden’s debate performance but could not care less about Trump doing things far more alarming on the daily is just mind-boggling. I think Biden is a great man and was a great president. History will be kind to him. But I saw that performance and knew it was time for him to go. Why can’t republicans hold their presidential candidates to even the lowest of employment standards. Imagine Trump walking into a McDonalds and asking for a job. No way on Earth would they hire an 80 year old convicted felon. His lack of social skills wouldn’t even get him past the interview phase.

Both things are a massive problem. Karoline was asked why Trump ignored intelligence, and she said only he knows. Then why TF are we paying for a redundant government if we’re subject to the whims of a madman?!
