Oh I do a shit ton of things of value. My greatest value in any organization is to give white men something to he-peat and get promoted for. Have been doing that for decades. |

How many counterexamples do you need to show you that "The only social currency white women have is their sexual attraction to men" is not valid?
What's the line of proof, for you? How many? |
Nine Justices |
Thank you for this example! As an African American woman, I would never do this -- and I am careful to get receipts so that if I go to another store before I go home, I can prove that I purchased the things in my bag at another store. When MoCo started charging for shopping bags even at department stores, their practice of asking customers if we wanted bags really stunned me. So: Saks is fine with having me leave the store with an armload of merchandise that's not in a shopping bag? Um, right. They really should have just eaten that cost themselves. |
Supreme Court Justices? You are aware that there are, well, female justices on the SCOTUS? Odd that they have "no social currency." I guess if you want to redefine words, you can make any claim you want. |
You're a troll. |
mic drop. |
You make hyperbolic claims, and they are wrong. Don't say it if you don't want to be held accountable for it. |
Many life tenured middle aged white female federal judges. Men jump everyday when those gals say jump. I especially love doing that at 4:30 pm on the Friday before a Holiday weekend.

Shame the original claim was made in absolute terms, not relative. That isn't a mic drop. It's a wet raspberry, and just as inconsequential. |
Exactly. I mean, it shouldn't be harder for women to get there than men. That's its own problem. But it's just not true that women are necessarily cast aside, totally, as being worthless at a certain age. That's being bitter because you lost YOUR social currency, and no more. |
Do you really think you are talking to only one white woman here? Multiple women replied to you. The person who said "only social currency" was using hyperbole, and all you could find to "win" an argument with her, and then us, was to bully on and on and on with your "ONLY?"" "prove it! I can disprove it! You're weak!" Shut up. Get on your bike and go shove some walkers off the trail. |
DP. I didn't realize people still believed meritocracy was a thing. I'm not suggesting that Cate Blanchett doesn't deserve to be recognized or whatnot, but women who are still considered relevant in middle age and up are both rare and privileged. Most middle aged women of all ethnicities are the ones taking care of the kids and aging parents while the (mostly) white men float to the top of their little fishbowls like lardy turds. |

This is me too but isn't it just a tad ... ego-centric ... to make this your hill to die on this week of all weeks? |
