+1. He’ll regret treating her like this when she is gone. Anyone could see how close they were before Meghan came on the scene. |
You honestly think the British Press are going to write anything that could negatively reflect on HM? Puh-lease. They've scrubbed their hateful decades of trash articles about Camilla, erased Diana's good deeds off the web, and hide every single affair until either the King abdicates or marries the woman (Camilla/Wallis). What I'm telling you is they're nothing but a pack of lying, sniveling mouthpieces who will trash anyone if it'll take the heat off the Queen. Just look at all the articles lambasting Princess Beatrice about her own father's crap interview. |
Uh-huh. This reminds me of the pieces about how Prince Phillip was on his deathbed at Christmas and Harry needed come home ASAP. Meanwhile everyone else in that family (actually in London) did not get in a car to visit him, the Queen went across the country to her vacation house to get away from him, and oh yes...he's still alive. |
The BBC — about as anti monarchy as you can get — is reporting that the Queen was not notified prior to Sussex announcement. |
No, I would call the BBC about as 'neutral' as you can get for British press towards the monarchy. None of them really do 'anti' very well. They aren't so far gone as Thailand where it is a crime to criticize the monarch (with actual jail time) but the royals treat the media as their pets - rewarding and criticizing as they want. In return the BP rarely bite the hands that feed it and act as an attack dog if the royals say so. Even Commonwealth ones. https://www.foxnews.com/entertainment/prince-william-kate-middleton-spoke-with-radio-host-after-he-mocked-princess-charlotte |
This. They are giving up 5% of their annual income to do this. Big deal. |
+1 I’ve got no real problem with them stepping back, but they way they did it is just disrespectful |
No one said she was on her deathbed, only that he would regret treating her poorly when she was gone. |
Then they will expect no security service? Or living in total residences? Or any support from the queen or prince Charles? |
| I can’t recall ever agreeing with Piers Morgan, but he is right on the money with this one. |
ouch! truth |
| Well thank goodness, that Harry and Meghan plan to pay Great Britain back for all of the costs of the royal wedding. At least there’s that. |

The Queen is not blame-free here. She gave Charles a cold, miserable childhood, raised mostly by nannies and shipped off to schools where he was horribly bullied. Then her strictures and pressure forced this emotionally stunted man into an ill-fated marriage with the equally emotionally unbalanced Diana, resulting in two children who were raised in a completely toxic, dysfunctional home, with their parents' marital collapse happening on center stage for the whole world to see. And then Diana died. William and Harry were 15 and 12. A childhood like that is traumatizing, no matter how much money you have or how big your house is.
If the Queen wants answers on why Harry seems a bit messed up, she can look in a mirror and reflect on her role in messing up his father and forcing a doomed marriage to last long past its sell by date when it should never have happened in the first place. She's a popular monarch but three of her four kids are divorced and one is a pervert. Clearly she and Philip went wrong somewhere. I don't know how Harry and Meghan plan to make this work, and right before Brexit was a dumb time to start this up, but it seems like being part of the monarchy is an increasingly miserable proposition for the younger generations and they don't want to be part of it. Maybe it's time for it to go. Let Charles get on the throne since he's been waiting so long and actually wants it, but end it there. I don't think William would mind at all. |
| Harry must really not be so bright - being led around by the nose like this. |

ABC/Disney just offered the Sussexes their own production company. No deal even negotiated.
"We have an office waiting for them in the animation studios building should they be looking to produce television," ABC Entertainment president Karey Burke said Wednesday in response to the news while at the network's Television Critics Association's winter press tour. What was that about them not making easy money again? https://www.hollywoodreporter.com/news/prince-harry-meghan-markle-step-down-as-senior-royals-1268068 Oh and don't forget the Apple TV documentary they negotiated over a year ago actually launches this year. The one with Oprah. |
