She's finished either way. If she votes no, she loses the primary, If she votes yes, she loses in the general. Her safest course of action is to vote No and become an independent. |
Sen. Hatch is commenting on the leak of Dr. Ford's letter to the publication, "The Intercept" -- right? Who was the original leak to the Washington Post/other media in early September? |
lets send them there with Hatch, together |
Because you consume biased news sources. |
Why do you need to insult Sen. Hatch (Ted Kennedy's best friend?) He is retiring. |
Don't forget Trump and Grassley! The old folks at home. They can reminisce about good times, even the ones they didn't have but remember they did. |
And, this just shows how far left the Democrats have swung. |
Judicial Code of Conduct - section Kavanaugh violated
An appearance of impropriety occurs when reasonable minds, with knowledge of all the relevant circumstances disclosed by a reasonable inquiry, would conclude that the judge’s honesty, integrity, impartiality, temperament, or fitness to serve as a judge is impaired. Public confidence in the judiciary is eroded by irresponsible or improper conduct by judges. A judge must avoid all impropriety and appearance of impropriety. This prohibition applies to both professional and personal conduct. A judge must expect to be the subject of constant public scrutiny and accept freely and willingly restrictions that might be viewed as burdensome by the ordinary citizen. I have inserted this quote from the Judicial Code of Conduct (Canon 2) at least 5 or 6 times on these threads to nothing but *crickets*. Modern Republicans don't care about rules or decency any more. Our country is lost. |
Collins just said she's a yes on procedural vote |
And? Does anyone really want to drag this on further? |
![]() ![]() ![]() The Judicial Conference of the United States is not going to do anything to sanction Judge Kavanaugh, even if by some crazy event he doesn’t get confirmation for his Supreme Court nomination. Oh, and if, or really, when he gets confirmed, he’s not recusing himself from ANY cases. Finally, the President is going to ready legislation to expand the Supreme Court to 11. Amy will be one of them, and someone else under 50 will be the other. ![]() ![]() ![]() |
Gorsuch was just confirmed by the same group. Can we ask that those PPs without any sign of a functioning brain be asked to leave. |
See the first post at 10:22. |
I pulled out the last line of this text. A little louder for the people in the back: A judge must expect to be the subject of constant public scrutiny and accept freely and willingly restrictions that might be viewed as burdensome by the ordinary citizen. |
Uh, you realize Kavanaugh and his people were doing this in July with Ramirez and other Yale classmates, right? That is witness tampering by a sitting Federal Judge. |
