Now is any democrat or republican putting legislation together to fix the problem...no.

We do have legislation in place and we have both criminal and civil courts to deal with tax frauds, cheats and financial crimes. You obviously didn't read the article - if you did - you would read that the Trumps broke the law, defrauded the government and illegally made stock trades, not to mention inflating invoices and other illegal accounting practices. It's one thing to legally work the tax code to avoid liability, it's entirely another to commit down-right tax fraud for years and years.

But so many people don't seem to care, because...this:

Yep. When the rich commit crimes people excuse them.

Whereas in Spain the husband of the royal princess is doing hard time in jail for tax fraud. And their former Minister of Finance is now in prison for receiving financial incentives from financial institutions. Not all countries have the same tolerance for fraud and graft.

I’m not going to read that whole thing - it’s a 150+ pages and I don’t speak lawyer - but that schmuck’s random grossness is just who he is. So scuzzy.

Not PP but I saw it because I follow Bloomberg’s financial investigations reporter on twitter.

Hopefully we can change the US. Jail seems like a good consequence for serious fraud crimes.

Thought it would be a good moment to bump this thread and remind people of the fraudster-in-chief we currently have and his crime family who are infiltrating government.

Here's just one paragraph from a class action complaint filed against them:

B. 48 “At all times relevant to this Complaint, The Trump Corporation was an enterprise within the meaning of 18 U.S.C….., comprised of high level executives, including without limitations Defendant Donald J. Trump, Defendant Ivanka Trump, Defendant Donald Trump Jr., Eric Trump and various corporate entities owned or controlled by The Trump Corporation, that worked together to earn revenue from the Endorsed Entities in exchange for conveying the false and leading Message. The mission of the Trump Corp. Enterprises was the carry out the scheme to defraud consumers.”

Not sure how much this will matter. It’s not like anyone thinks Trump is an honest businessman.

See the new thread. He cut off money to a relative with cerebral palsy?! If that's just the tip of the iceberg this book will be a major distraction. The base won't budge but Trump needs a lot more than his base to win.

But we knew that in 2015/2016 and the GOP still voted for him.
