I grew up in NJ and anyone from the NY/NY area knows he's nothing but a shifty, grifter real estate guy. How anyone thought he was fit to be President is truly baffling.

Total slimeball.

Friendly reminder - there is a president* in the White House who illegally bilked the nation of $500 billion in taxes owed.

$500 million? He is hardly a billionaire.

I haven’t finished reading this yet, but this massive investigation by WNYC and Propublica picks up on where the Times story leaves off and keeps going.

https://features.propublica.org/trump-inc-podcast/trump-family-business-panama-city-khafif/

“The Trumps were typically way more than mere licensors or bystanders in their often-troubled deals. They were deeply involved in these projects. They helped mislead investors and buyers — and they profited handsomely from it.

Patterns of deceptive practices occurred in a dozen deals across the globe, as the business expanded into international projects, and the Trumps often participated. One common pattern, visible in more than half of those transactions, was a tendency to misstate key sales numbers.”

Yup.

Looking forward to getting rid of the criminal element in the white house the next presidential election.

This stuff has been known a long time, but to the GOP sycophants, he is a great businessman.

Would it make any difference to the traitor GOP?

They DGAF about anything except ending America as an ideal. They don’t DGAF about the GOP treason. They DGAF about Trump trashing norms. They DGAF about emoluments or nepotism or anything else. They DGAF about recklessly gutting our budget for the benefit of the wealthiest, most spoiled little shoots. They DGAF that Trump and Kushner quite possibly are accessories to murder.

That Donald defrauded the country to the tune of millions of dollars is small beer.

Probably not, but American people deserve to know.

Yes, I want to know. I'm tired of the criminal element in the White House. These Trumps and their mafia circle have brought shame and embarassement to our great institutions.

Oh here we are again. Some rich guy taking advantage of the tax system. Look how bad it is!

Now is any democrat or republican putting legislation together to fix the problem...no.

We do have legislation in place and we have both criminal and civil courts to deal with tax frauds, cheats and financial crimes. You obviously didn't read the article - if you did - you would read that the Trumps broke the law, defrauded the government and illegally made stock trades, not to mention inflating invoices and other illegal accounting practices. It's one thing to legally work the tax code to avoid liability, it's entirely another to commit down-right tax fraud for years and years.

But so many people don't seem to care, because...this:
