OK - Feinstein - that MAY have happened if YOU HAD DONE YOUR JOB!!!
The FBI does background investigations that are confidential, and YOU KNOW IT! You screwed up.

I know it's been said. But it's just hard to believe people think she's somehow seeking fame when she could stick to what she obviously loves, doing research psychology in academia.

What struck me is Ford is a "mother of two sons". Not someone who wants to see boys lives ruined by unsubstantiated accusations.

I want to see them in 20 years, life is a bumerang

Agreed, kind of like formulating a bunch of embarrassing questions about Lewinsky. What goes around....

My daughter is 9. How would I explain to her that in two of our three branches of government, men gained positions of power despite having sexually assaulted women?

You know who’d be thrilled to see Kavanaugh on the Supreme Court? Thomas.

It's disgraceful. How do we tell women to come forward when attacked when we're not able to tell them that they won't be revictimized.

And, how do we tell men to proclaim their innocence when they are not allowed to question the motives or the backgrounds of their accusers?

Me as well. Seeing her nervous expression as she listens to Feinstein is breaking my heart a bit.

Teach your kids to speak up when they are the target of assault, or witnesses anything that's not right.

Are you people doing this?

Want me to start naming names?

Yes. Nowadays people talk about these things with their kids. Times have and are changing, in part from Dr Blasey Fords testimony.

And partly we now talk about these things because our own upbringing where these things happened to us and either we were afraid of the social pressure so we didn’t speak or people didn’t believe us. Change takes time. When a prep boy said that he was assaulted by a priest not only was he not believed the school tried to expel him. He was shunned and mistreated by his peers. It took other allegations against the priest for the man to finally be believed years later.

As Ms. Murray delivered her remarks, dozens of protesters supporting Dr. Blasey poured into the Hart Senate Office Building, chanting “we won’t go back” and wearing shirts that said “Believe Women.” Four young women, wearing their Holton-Arms uniforms, walked through the Hart office buildings hallways, arms linked together.

Well for one thing she hasn't spent the whole time whining about unfairness from the other side. She has used her statement and position to highlight the lack of reporting of sexual assault and the crappy treatment of victims who come forward, to highlight the other related allegations from people who Grassley won't call to testify, and to call out the quotes from Kavanaugh that appear to be untrue.

Her comment about delay in procedure? Really? She is out of her mind.

She wouldn’t have to do this if Judge and others were testifying. She’s basically doing it for them. I support her.

She asked them to investigate. They refused. She is credible. He is a liar.

Yup. Lots of PPs were telling Grassley to shut up, but look how long Feinstein is blabbing on. I have the set on mute.

She looks to have been holding back tears the whole time. Just the thought of imagining myself in her position right now is nearly unbearable.
