Lots of details revealed:

When she moved to be with her husband in December 2017, she could immediately sense that Mark Gerardot was distant, he said, and she suspected there might be another woman.

“She finally asked me, ‘What's up with you? You’re acting different,’” Mark Gerardot said. “She said specifically, ‘It’s Meredith, isn’t it?’”

Although Mark Gerardot would deny the affair at first, his wife continued questioning his relationship with Chapman. Jennair Gerardot would also keep tabs on him and Chapman, he said, and she would know things about them for which he couldn’t understand how.

She revealed she had hired a company to gain access to his phone and that it allowed her to read his texts and see his photos and records of all calls he had with Chapman...

...the two agreed to go to marriage counseling. However, on the day of their second session, Mark Gerardot was putting his jacket on when he felt something in the lining of his pocket.
He cut it open and found a recording device had been planted inside by being sewn in. Its flashing light indicated that it was recording him at that very moment.

...After his wife’s death, Mark Gerardot started poring through her bank statements, phone records and a computer backup in search of answers. The recording device that he discovered in his jacket, he found out, was just the tip of the iceberg.

The wife goes full-on Jason Bourne and planned her revenge for weeks: planting GPS trackers, hacking into her husbands phone, buying a gun and practicing at the gun range, wearing a wig/trench-coat/binoculars and staking out the mistress's house for hours at a time, etc.

He wasn't worth it, it would have ended in a few years with the bimbo. While I think all 3 messed up their lives at least she should have taken out the Cheater first. She did a half job for sure.

You know that he was married to her for 25 years, right?
And if it was so obvious that she was "fu(king nuts", why he didn't call 911 to protect the OW?

Probably because not every thing is black or white. In relationships most sh!t is grey..... well until someone decides to bring a 40 caliber in the mix. Then it’s all red.

You said that the reason the man had an affair was because the wife was crazy and that's very black and white.
Men don't have affairs because their wives are crazy, but because they get bored and if there is a prospective of a younger and thus hotter woman, many will go for it.

In this case Meredith was telling him everything he wanted to hear. He's a very flawed person, saw that in the recent interview. It wouldn't have lasted long, Meredith would be telling him the real story and I believe she would have moved on to someone her own age.

I agree, once she found out she should have moved on. Stop the surveillance, and get back into the job market. Meredith sealed her own fate by cheating with a married man, then not stopping after he was telling her all the crazy coming from his wife. To be fair all 3 were whacked.

Thing is, my initial reaction was to feel bad for the cheating husband. Because clearly his wife whom he cheated on was crazy enough to murder and commit suicide, so she must have been crazy to live with. Sane people don't react this way. Sort of like how while I normally feel bad for the laid off postal worker, once he goes postal, you start to consider that the post office had a good reason to fire him.

Yep.

+2. What a literally insane overreaction.

Seems Shakespearean to me.

They’re all bad guys.

The wife is a psycho murderer. The other woman is also a cheater and started an affair with her subordinate. And the husband did not bother to notify authorities when he received direct information that someone he was sleeping with’s life was in danger.

Eh - water under the bridge. He sounds like a catch!

He was a cheater, he had his own psy. problems. Not like he had any morals or the idiot co-cheater.

Meredith also had plenty of warnings his wife was going to go postal on her. Did she stop seeing him?

All 3 had mental problems, all 3 played a part in their fates.

I just watched the 20/20 interview. I don't see the mental problems for anyone other than the now deceased wife. The wife's issues were not apparent before the murder/suicide, her therapist had no clue.

The mistress was not a bimbo.

Exactly, he could have told her that we was separated. You really don't know where someone is whrn they are separated. It sounds like he was since he moved away.

Nope. She knew they were very much married, and trying to work it out. The DW had planted VARs and listened to their conversations. She also asked her to stop, and at one point I read they had a physical altercation. Talk about the warning signs, but the OW must have enjoyed all that drama. A decent woman wouldn't have asked a married guy out to dinner to begin with. You do know she was his boss, so yes she knew they had recently moved and all about his married status. She wasn't a good person. I read he moved out west and was trying to date in San Diego.

Probably because not every thing is black or white. In relationships most sh!t is grey..... well until someone decides to bring a 40 caliber in the mix. Then it’s all red.

She was probably really normal until he moved her away from friends and continued to live with her while cheating and planning a divorce.

Who does that?

Move out if you are sooooooo unhappily married and she is such a psycho. But she wasn't psycho and he wasn't unhappy, he hedged his bets, keeping her in the wings while he worked on the new chick. I doubt this as his 1st affair, he looks and seems creepy.

She was never a psycho otherwise he wouldn't have stayed for 25 years!! I'm sure she had a dependent personalty, a lot of her self worth depended on him. And I suspect all the conditions pushed her in a awful direction. I guess when two people are poking, and poking someone it's not going to end well. Read the comments below the video, most people under his and Meredith's role.

Now there's tapes I imagine Mark released. One is of Meredith crying and acting hysterically because he's doing stuff with his wife. And she wants help moving. Obviously she has mental issues herself, and another from his book he states Meredith was rocking back and forth after Jennair told her she would go to hell. Even Mark saw Meredith's cracks, and told his wife he may not last the year with Meredith. The wife makes fun of that on the tape from the postcast.

I feel like this story was more about 2 bullies. Like teasing a dog over and over and not expecting it to bite. Here are the tapes if anyone is interested:

Or, and I'm just spit-balling here, murderer and victim.

murderer and cheater

If it was a murderer and his drug dealer, we would say that.... just say it how it is.

Nobody deserves to be murdered, but she was not an innocent victim, she engaged in risky behavior and paid the ultimate price.

Are you completely f****** insane? The ultimate price for cheating and adultery is not murder. It Is not death. We are not some backwards country halfway across the world. Holy s***. I just...wow. She is a murder victim.

The wife was also a victim. When the OW set out to destroy her life she should have expected consequences. She was her husbands boss as well, just one big mess.

Honestly, this just emphasizes that the husband is the one who is repugnant. Just can't believe 2 women fight over a man like this. Hopefully this guy doesn't make money on this situation that he caused.
