So many PPs are being easy on the cheating husband. They'd been married for 25 years. Why not just separate or divorce?

At least there were no kids involved.

So what is the timeline? He started working at Univ. of Del. in the fall; started an affair with his younger, married boss; then they both left the university this spring, in the middle of the school year? Did Univ of Del find out about the affair?
