Any updates?

Yes, all the parents are still crazy and their poor kids are going to end up just like them.

IYKYK. Anyone asking for updates doesn't have a kid in the school, neither does the person responding. Get a life, trolls.

People are finally not blaming the principal who resigned at least for any problems.

One of the 4th grade teachers resigned after the principal resigned.

Pretty sure you should be telling the craziness from Navy to stop since they divulge all of the escapades going on in that place...lol

It will be interesting to see what new principal will eventually be chosen and whether the staff/community will tear him/her apart as well.

Too many stay at home and work from home parents with nothing to do will spoil anything.

FCPS needs to offer a bonus to a smart, experienced principal to take this position.

Just keep those interim principals instead of a permanent one.

The interims don’t really care about the school so are always going to be more lax. That’s why they are liked.

I am not a Navy parent but my child is in 2nd at Crossfield and I'm fairly confident she will get into AAP given her test scores and some subtle feedback from her teacher so I've been following this thread with interest. How are things going at Navy this year?

It’s very class and teacher dependent, much like many other schools. Some grade level teams were wiped out by the mass exodus. My sense is that things are better in the grades where more of the teachers stayed, which makes sense. I don’t know if how things are going this year is much of a predictor for next year because teachers can come/go/get moved around including in or out of AAP. And we have no idea who the principal will be and if it will be someone the teachers actually like working for. If there’s more stability at Crossfield, and if parents there are happy with the local AAP, it might make sense to stay put.
