Level the playing field = destroy the US economy and everyone else's. That is the Silicon Valley plan. Trump is so dumb he's going along with it. |
Nah he’s chicken. He’ll never actually go through with it. |
Trump will be good for the economy because he is taking over the part of the government that provides the statistics about the economy. They are going to be SO rosy, you won't believe it, best statistics ever. |
Not a Trumper. His policies are isolationist and insular—a kind of anti-globalism — and I can see how that would appeal to the middle and lower classes that did not really participate in the growth fueled by globalist policies. If importing goods becomes prohibitively expensive, manufacturing will move back to the US. |
But even assuming manufacturing plants could be built overnight, U.S. labor is too expensive. No way around that. See also USSR for the success of autarky. |
LMAO, well now it’s confirmed that it’s all bluster. So many MAGAs were on board that this was good for the economy and now their leader wimps out! |
It doesn't matter. The market will respond to actual conditions. Statistics can be manipulated, but eventually the market will react. |
|
There will be no tariffs. |
Too bad that the markets are already spooked for good and our trade partners are looking elsewhere. |
Just to clarify, DOGE has not had access to statistical agencies. We blocked them from our agency. Trump will probably do away with those agencies. But I feel the need to tell you as of now, our statistical reporting is accurate. With that said, Biden had great numbers and no one believed it. SMH. |
I know a probationary employee fired from BLS. |
Trump is doubling steel and aluminum tariffs (to 50%!!) effective tomorrow.
And the stock market is in a “rout” |
So its a good thing then. |
Proof that the GOP knows how bad the tariffs will be.
They are trying to block having a vote on Trump’s tariffs. The founding fathers never dreamed that the legislative branch would just give its power away so cravenly to the executive branch. https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2025-03-11/house-gop-moves-to-block-potential-challenges-to-trump-tariffs?embedded-checkout=true |
