The dodge ram comparison wasn’t good. It’s not normal in other countries to casually drive around massive trucks.

Yeah. I spend summers in Europe, and the cities aren’t built for huge vehicles. It’s always funny to see a huge American Truck over there.

Interesting paper here that runs the numbers.

It’s not good.

Be interested for a Trump voter to provide detail on how the Trump policy will improve our economy.

“We find that these steps would result in lower US national income, lower employment, and higher inflation than otherwise. In some cases, economic conditions recover over time, but in others the damage continues through 2040.

And despite Trump’s “America first” rhetoric, these policies would harm the US economy more than any other in the world, particularly trade-exposed sectors such as manufacturing and agriculture. In some cases, other countries would enjoy stronger economic growth than otherwise after receiving inflows of capital leaving the United States.”

As an economist, I voted for Harris because I read the economic policies Trump & Co shared and they were nonsensical and going to be very bad for our economy, short-term and long-term. He has no understanding of tariffs or what causes inflation. The people he surrounds himself with also don't know.

Vote these fools out asap.

Really don’t get what the endgame is here. They could not be damaging the U.S. economy more if they tried. They are doing absolutely everything possible to increase unemployment, inflation, and uncertainty.

So maybe they are intentionally doing this? It makes no sense otherwise.

The endgame is breaking the US government apart. They started by dismantling the federal workforce. Next, they disempower Congress and courts. Eventually, the break up the media and elite institutions.

This is laid out in Project 2025 and Curtis Yarvin's "Butterfly Revolution." Yarvin's plan was actually a bit kinder than Trumo's plan...

They are.

This was before the election.

“Elon Musk admitted that he knows that Donald Trump’s policies would crash the economy if he’s elected president, but thinks that the price is worth it.”

The price is worth it because…the goal is…? What exactly? What does a “healthier” economy mean?

I still don’t get it.

The Dark Gothic Maga video describes it all.

To the billionaires (Bezos, Thiel, Zuck, Musk) a healthier economy means one in which they don't pay taxes or have regulations or unions.

The goal is to have the US run by a Chairman (which is Trump now) and a President (which is Musk now) and break apart each part of government standing in their way.

This is not a conspiracy theory. They have spoken about this on podcasts, at conferences, written plans about the idea, etc.

Mark Cuban was interviewed and brought up how crazy this topic was and called them out.

Their ideas are laid out here.

And then went on truth social so say that Trudeau is using this to stay in power because “he doesn’t know” when the next election will be, even though that isn’t how Canada’s government works

Trudeau said earlier that there will be no corresponding reduction of Canadian tariffs until Trump drops all of them.

And people will eat it up because they don’t know how Canadas government works. People barely even understand how our own government works.

Canadian here. Looking for a new party leader is going on as usual. Trudeau just holding fort because that’s his job. Like all leaders who were there during COVID, there’s a lot of frustration directed his way personally, and his party won’t win with him in charge.

In the mean time, huge social movement to buy anything but American. I know people
That have cancelled trips to the US for upcoming March break. Ontario liquor stores removing all US booze. It’s not huge, considering all of Canada is less of an economy that a few single states, but it’s not nothing.

I’m waiting for something to happen that will evoke the Quebecois. Then Donald may understand what elbows up is about.

This is all market manipulation. They are creating dips and rallies to cash in.

Only for a month. Because of course as everyone knows, you can definitely build an auto parts factory in a month.
